## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

**Scrape Pinterest pins from any search, profile or board** — titles, descriptions, **full-size image and video URLs, outbound links, reactions, saves**, creation date, pinner and board, in one clean dataset.

### What does Pinterest Scraper do?

Pinterest Scraper collects pins from [Pinterest](https://www.pinterest.com) three ways:

- **Search** — every pin for a keyword such as `living room ideas` or `fall outfits`.
- **Profiles** — all pins published by an account.
- **Boards** — all pins saved to a specific board.

For each pin you get the **title, description, alt text, original-size image URL, video URL, outbound link and domain, reaction count, save count, comment count, creation date, dominant colour**, plus the **pinner** (username, name, followers) and the **board** it was saved to.

Running on Apify gives you scheduling, an API and integrations with Google Sheets, Airtable, Zapier, Make and webhooks.

### Why use Pinterest Scraper?

- **Trend and product research** — see which ideas, products and styles are being pinned right now.
- **E-commerce and affiliate marketing** — find the pins (and outbound shops) that drive traffic in your niche.
- **Content inspiration** — collect high-performing visuals and copy for your own boards.
- **Influencer discovery** — identify pinners with large followings in a topic.
- **Competitor monitoring** — track what brands publish on their profiles and boards.

### Tips

- Use specific, long-tail keywords for focused trend research.
- Scrape a competitor's boards to see exactly which products and pages they promote.
- Schedule weekly runs on the same keywords to spot rising pins.

### FAQ

**Can it download the images?** It returns direct original-size image and video URLs that you can download or display.

**Is it legal?** It collects publicly available pins. Respect creators' copyright when reusing images and follow Pinterest's terms.

**Need comments or pin details?** Open an issue in the **Issues** tab.
