## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## OLX Cars Scraper — Romania & Poland

$1.50 per 1,000 returned car listings ($0.0015 per row), plus $0.0001 per GB at Actor start. Covers OLX.ro and OLX.pl.

Extract public car adverts over HTTP without login or browser. Choose one country per run. Export the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel.

### Input

```json
{"country":"ro","maxItems":500,"query":"Audi","minPrice":3000,"maxPrice":20000}
```

- `country`: `ro` (default) or `pl`.
- `maxItems`: 1–20,000, default 500. This is an upper limit, not a promise of available rows.
- `query`: optional source keyword search.
- `regionId`: optional country-specific OLX region ID. Romania 27 = Hunedoara; Poland 4 = Małopolskie.
- `minPrice`, `maxPrice`: optional OLX price filters; EUR in Romania and PLN in Poland. OLX applies its own currency conversion for filtering. Output `price` and `currency` remain the original listing values.

### Output

Each row contains `id`, `url`, `title`, `make`, `model`, `year`, `price`, `currency`, `mileageKm`, `fuel`, `gearbox`, `body`, `engineCc`, `powerHp`, `colour`, `condition`, `city`, `county`, `lat`, `lng`, `sellerName`, `description`, `photoUrls`, `createdAt`, `refreshedAt`, and `scrapedAt`.

Make is inferred from recognized brand names in the advert title and may be null or inaccurate. Model comes from the source's model attribute. Missing attributes are null; photos are an array. Attribute labels retain the source language. `county` is the OLX region (a Romanian county or Polish voivodeship). Coordinates can be approximate. Polish `condition` describes technical condition, whereas Romanian `condition` describes new/used status. Seller-entered mileage and other specifications are not independently verified. Descriptions are plain text; photo URLs use the source image dimensions.

OLX groups its attributes per country; .ro and .pl use different keys, mapped in `src/countries.js`.

### Limits

The Actor uses cars category 84 in both markets and follows the source's next-page links. Romania category 203 is only Skoda, not all cars. Listings are deduplicated by ID within each run, including repeated promoted adverts. A page can contain more than the requested 50 adverts due to promotions; the Actor still respects `maxItems`.

OLX imposes an offset ceiling: Romanian offset 1,000 works, but offset 10,000 returns HTTP 400. The Actor stops cleanly on HTTP 400, absent next link, empty data, or a repeated pagination link. The precise ceiling may change or differ by market. A 20,000 request may return substantially fewer rows. Search results change during pagination, so exhaustive coverage is not guaranteed. Other HTTP failures fail the run rather than masquerading as an empty result.

Only publicly available advert information is returned. No phone-number extraction, login-only data or VIN enrichment. Use the data in accordance with OLX terms and applicable privacy laws.

### Real cloud-run sample

Cloud run `AWjchOZrG8hPpCr2k` succeeded with 5 Romanian rows; dataset `vzlBESNA4j3h9Gbpe` was checked. Selected fields from one actual row (other emitted fields omitted here for readability):

```json
{
  "id": 310744045,
  "url": "https://www.olx.ro/d/oferta/seat-leon-seat-leon-an-2010-motorizare-1-6-diesel-IDl1QIJ.html",
  "title": "Seat Leon Seat Leon, an 2010, motorizare 1.6 diesel",
  "make": "Seat",
  "model": "Leon",
  "year": 2010,
  "price": 4990,
  "currency": "EUR",
  "mileageKm": 226000,
  "fuel": "Diesel",
  "gearbox": "Manuala",
  "body": "Hatchback",
  "engineCc": 1598,
  "powerHp": 90,
  "colour": "Alb",
  "condition": "Utilizat",
  "city": "Iasi",
  "county": "Iasi",
  "lat": 47.1569,
  "lng": 27.5903,
  "sellerName": "autovitro",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-23T00:10:05.957Z"
}
```

The Polish path was also tested locally: 75 unique rows across two pages, with Polish URLs and mapped mileage, transmission, power and condition fields.

# Actor input Schema

## `country` (type: `string`):

Select Romania (olx.ro) or Poland (olx.pl).

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum unique cars to save. Source pagination may end earlier.

## `query` (type: `string`):

Optional OLX keyword search, such as Audi A4.

## `regionId` (type: `integer`):

Optional OLX numeric region ID, specific to the chosen country. For example RO 27 is Hunedoara; PL 4 is Malopolskie.

## `minPrice` (type: `number`):

Optional source price filter in EUR for Romania or PLN for Poland. OLX converts foreign-currency listings for filtering; output preserves their original currency.

## `maxPrice` (type: `number`):

Optional source price ceiling in EUR for Romania or PLN for Poland.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "country": "ro",
  "maxItems": 500
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `listings` (type: `string`):

Dataset rows containing car prices, specifications, seller names, locations, descriptions and photos.
