## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Website Contact Finder: Emails, Phones, Socials + EU VAT & Company Data

Paste a list of websites or domains and get, for each one: **emails, phone numbers, social media profiles, company name, address, EU VAT IDs and Dutch KvK numbers**. Built for B2B lead generation and data enrichment, especially in Europe.

### Works with Google Maps Scraper

Ran **Google Maps Scraper** for "dentists in Utrecht" or "bakeries in Budapest"? Select that run's dataset in **Google Maps Scraper results** and this Actor visits every place's website and adds emails, phones, social profiles, **EU VAT IDs and KvK numbers**. The place name, category, address, rating and Maps link stay in each row, so you get one ready-to-use lead list. Places without a website are skipped and not charged.

### What makes it different

- **Goes straight to the right pages**: homepage, then contact, Impressum, colofon, mentions légales, about and team pages in 15+ languages, so a site takes 2-6 requests, not a full crawl.
- **Company data, not only emails**: company name and address from structured data, **EU VAT IDs** (DE, NL, HU, BE, AT, FR, ... with or without spaces and dots) and **KvK numbers**, read only next to their labels to avoid false hits.
- **Clean output**: Cloudflare-protected and "info \[at] firm \[dot] nl" emails decoded, junk like `image@2x.png` or tracking addresses removed, phone numbers validated and formatted as **E.164** (`+31183123456`), share buttons ignored.
- **Same-domain emails first**, plus a `email` / `phone` field with the best single contact for easy CRM import.
- **Fair billing**: you pay only for websites where at least one email or phone number was found.

### Input example

```json
{
  "websites": ["bakkerijjansen.nl", "https://www.firma.de", "example.hu"],
  "maxPagesPerSite": 6
}
```

Or enrich a Google Maps run:

```json
{ "googleMapsDatasetId": "YOUR_GOOGLE_MAPS_DATASET_ID", "maxPlaces": 500 }
```

### Output (one row per website)

| Field | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| `domain`, `website` | Site checked (after redirects) |
| `email`, `phone` | Best single contact (same-domain email first) |
| `emails`, `phones` | All found on the site's own domain (or all, if the site uses e.g. Gmail), deduplicated; phones in E.164 |
| `externalEmails` | Addresses of other domains seen on the site (agencies, partners, tools) |
| `socials` | `{ linkedin, facebook, instagram, x, youtube, tiktok, pinterest, github, xing }` |
| `companyName`, `address` | From the site's structured data |
| `vatIds`, `kvkNumbers` | EU VAT IDs and Dutch Chamber of Commerce numbers |
| `pagesVisited` | Pages the Actor read |
| `placeName`, `googleMaps` | Place name, category, phone, address, rating and Maps link (when enriching a Google Maps dataset) |
| `status` | `ok`, `no-contacts` (not charged) or `error` (not charged) |

### Pricing

One event `site-with-contacts` per website where at least one email or phone number was found. Sites without contacts and unreachable sites are free.

### Notes

- Works on regular company websites. Pages that render all content with JavaScript only may return fewer results.
- Respect privacy laws (GDPR) when you use personal contact data; company addresses such as info@ or sales@ are usually fine for B2B outreach.

# Actor input Schema

## `websites` (type: `array`):

One per line: firm.nl, https://www.firm.de, www.example.com ... Duplicates are removed. Optional if you select a Google Maps dataset below.

## `googleMapsDatasetId` (type: `string`):

Pick the dataset of a Google Maps Scraper run (or any dataset with a "website" column). Every place with a website is enriched with emails, phones, socials, VAT and KvK numbers; the place name, category, address and Maps link are kept in the output.

## `maxPlaces` (type: `integer`):

Upper limit of dataset rows to read.

## `websiteField` (type: `string`):

Name of the column that holds the website URL in your dataset. Google Maps Scraper uses "website".

## `maxPagesPerSite` (type: `integer`):

Homepage plus the best contact, Impressum and about pages. 4-6 finds contacts on most sites.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many pages are loaded at the same time.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify datacenter proxy is enough for most company websites.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "websites": [
    "apify.com",
    "crawlee.dev"
  ],
  "maxPlaces": 1000,
  "websiteField": "website",
  "maxPagesPerSite": 6,
  "maxConcurrency": 10,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

One row per website: emails, phones, social profiles, company name, address, VAT and KvK numbers, pages visited and status.

// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
