## Pricing

from $0.11 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## iOS and Android Reviews Scraper - App Store & Google Play

Scrape **iOS and Android reviews in one run**: **App Store and Google Play reviews** in **one clean schema** with stars, title, text, user, date, app version, helpful votes and the developer's reply. Paste app links, IDs or package names for both stores together, choose countries, press Start, and export the user reviews to JSON, CSV or Excel.

**No login, no API key.** $0.15 per 1,000 reviews, no start fee.

### Why this app reviews scraper

- **Both stores, one table:** compare your iOS and Android app (or a competitor's) side by side. Every row has `store`, `appName`, store rating and rating count.
- **Many countries per app:** `us`, `gb`, `de`, `in`, `br`... each app is scraped for every country you list.
- **Filters that save money:** only 1-2 star reviews, only reviews that mention "crash", "login" or "price", only reviews after a date. Filtered-out reviews are not charged.
- **Only new reviews mode:** schedule it daily and get just the fresh reviews since the last run. Perfect for release monitoring, support alerts in Slack and ASO reports.
- **Developer replies (Google Play):** see how the team answers, and how fast.
- **Fast and light:** public store endpoints, no browser, so runs finish in seconds and cost little platform usage.

### Use cases

- **App release monitoring:** catch crashes and bugs reported after a new version (`reviewAppVersion`).
- **Competitor research and ASO:** what users love and hate in competing apps, by country.
- **Customer support:** route negative reviews to your team every morning.
- **Sentiment analysis and AI datasets:** clean review text for LLMs and dashboards.
- **Product research:** feature requests and pricing complaints, straight from users.

### Input

```json
{
  "apps": ["https://apps.apple.com/us/app/whatsapp-messenger/id310633997", "com.whatsapp"],
  "countries": ["us", "gb"],
  "maxReviewsPerApp": 500,
  "sortBy": "newest",
  "ratings": ["1", "2"],
  "onlyNewReviews": true
}
```

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `apps` | App Store links/IDs and Google Play links/package names, mixed |
| `countries` | Store countries (two-letter codes) |
| `language` | Review language for Google Play |
| `maxReviewsPerApp` | Per app and country |
| `sortBy` | `newest`, `relevant`, `rating` |
| `ratings` | Keep only these star ratings |
| `keywords` | Keep only reviews mentioning these words |
| `reviewsSince` | Skip older reviews |
| `onlyNewReviews` | Only reviews not returned in earlier runs |
| `maxReviews` | Cap for the whole run |

### Output

```json
{
  "store": "googlePlay",
  "appId": "com.whatsapp",
  "appName": "WhatsApp Messenger",
  "developer": "WhatsApp LLC",
  "appRating": 4.3,
  "appRatingCount": 210000000,
  "country": "us",
  "reviewId": "ba5e2952-efb9-4c24-81a8-e69e6e0fd78e",
  "rating": 5,
  "title": null,
  "text": "Good",
  "userName": "Eddy Kada",
  "date": "2026-10-28T12:32:52Z",
  "reviewAppVersion": "2.26.41.77",
  "thumbsUpCount": 0,
  "developerReply": null,
  "developerReplyDate": null,
  "reviewUrl": "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.whatsapp&reviewId=..."
}
```

App Store rows have a review `title`; Google Play reviews have no titles but include developer replies.

### Limits to know

- **App Store:** Apple publishes up to the 500 latest reviews per app per country. Add more countries for more iOS reviews.
- **Google Play:** thousands of reviews per app and language.

### Pricing

**$0.15 per 1,000 reviews** (pay per result). No start fee, no subscription. Set `maxReviews` to cap any run.

### FAQ

**Do I need an API key or developer account?** No.

**Can I track only negative reviews?** Yes: `ratings: ["1","2"]` with `onlyNewReviews: true` on a daily schedule.

**Is it legal?** It collects publicly visible reviews. Use the data in line with the stores' terms and privacy laws for your use case.

### Use it as an integration (chain it after another actor)

This actor can run automatically after any actor whose results contain an App Store or Google Play link.

1. Open the source actor in Apify Console and go to the **Integrations** tab.
2. Click **Add integration** -> **Actor**, pick this actor and set **Dataset** to `{{resource.defaultDatasetId}}` (leave `apps` empty). Set your other options and save.
3. When the source run finishes, this actor reads its dataset and processes every row. The field is detected automatically; set **Dataset field** if your column has another name.

You can also start it by hand with `datasetId` (pick a dataset or paste its ID) to process an existing dataset.

Good sources to chain from:

- any App Store / Google Play search scraper with a url or appId column

# Actor input Schema

## `apps` (type: `array`):

Mix freely: App Store links or IDs (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/.../id310633997 or id310633997) and Google Play links or package names (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.whatsapp or com.whatsapp).

## `maxReviewsPerApp` (type: `integer`):

Google Play: thousands available. App Store: Apple serves up to 500 latest reviews per country, so add more countries for more iOS reviews.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Two-letter store country codes, e.g. us, gb, de, fr, in, br. Each app is scraped for every country.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Review language for Google Play (en, de, es, fr, ...).

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Newest first is best for monitoring. Most relevant = most helpful reviews (App Store) / most relevant (Google Play).

## `ratings` (type: `array`):

Optional, e.g. 1 and 2 to collect only negative reviews. Empty = all ratings.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Optional. Keep reviews that mention any of these words (crash, login, price, ads, a competitor...). Only kept reviews are charged.

## `reviewsSince` (type: `string`):

Optional. Skip older reviews.

## `onlyNewReviews` (type: `boolean`):

Remembers saved reviews per app and country and returns only fresh ones. Schedule it daily for release and support monitoring.

## `maxReviews` (type: `integer`):

Hard cap for the whole run (0 = no cap).

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. Not needed in most cases.

## `datasetId` (type: `string`):

Optional. Pick a dataset (or paste its ID) to read the input from, for example the result of Google Maps Scraper. When this actor runs as an integration, the dataset of the triggering run is used automatically (payload.resource.defaultDatasetId), so you can leave this empty. If set, the values found in the dataset replace the main input list.

## `datasetField` (type: `string`):

Optional. The item field that holds the value, for example website, url or videoUrl (dot paths like author.url work). Empty = detected automatically.

## `datasetMaxItems` (type: `integer`):

Upper limit of unique values taken from the dataset, to keep the cost under control.
