## Pricing

from $0.85 / 1,000 url analyzeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Website Technology Detector — Cheap, Japan-ready

Find out **what a website is built with**: CMS, e-commerce platform, analytics and ad tags, JavaScript frameworks, CDN, hosting, plugins and more — **7,600+ technologies**, with versions where visible. **$1 per 1,000 websites.**

Includes **Japanese platforms and WordPress themes** that generic detectors miss or cover poorly: BASE, STORES, カラーミーショップ (ColorMeShop), MakeShop, EC-CUBE, Peraichi, STUDIO, A8.net, もしもアフィリエイト (Moshimo), ValueCommerce, LINE Tag, Yahoo! Tag Manager, note, Ameba Blog, and popular Japanese WordPress themes **Cocoon, SWELL, AFFINGER, JIN, THE THOR, SANGO, STORK, Lightning**.

### What can it be used for?

- **Lead generation & sales research**: find shops on Shopify / BASE / STORES, sites using a competitor's tool, WordPress sites with a specific plugin
- **Market research** on the Japanese web: which EC platforms, themes and ad networks are used
- **Competitor analysis**: analytics, A/B testing, chat and marketing tools
- **Security & maintenance audits**: outdated CMS or library versions
- **Enrich URL lists** in your CRM or spreadsheet

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `urls` | Domains (`example.com`) or URLs. Only these pages are fetched — no crawling. |
| `respectRobotsTxt` | Default on |
| `minDelayPerSiteMs`, `maxConcurrency`, `timeoutSecs` | Politeness and limits |

### Output

```json
{
    "url": "https://wp-cocoon.com",
    "status": "success",
    "title": "Cocoon",
    "technologyCount": 20,
    "technologies": [
        { "name": "WordPress", "version": null, "confidence": 100, "categories": ["CMS", "Blogs"], "website": "https://wordpress.org" },
        { "name": "Cocoon", "version": null, "confidence": 100, "categories": ["WordPress themes"], "website": "https://wp-cocoon.com/" },
        { "name": "Contact Form 7", "version": "6.1.7", "confidence": 100, "categories": ["WordPress plugins"], "website": "https://contactform7.com" }
    ],
    "byCategory": { "CMS": ["WordPress"], "WordPress themes": ["Cocoon"], "...": [] },
    "server": "nginx"
}
```

`status` is `success`, `failed` (with `error`) or `blocked_by_robots_txt`.

### Pricing

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| URL analyzed (per successfully analyzed page) | $0.001 ($1 per 1,000) |

Failed and robots.txt-blocked URLs are not charged. Platform usage is included.

### How it works & limitations

- One request per URL (plus robots.txt). The page HTML, scripts, headers, cookies and meta tags are matched against technology fingerprints.
- **No JavaScript execution**, so tools that only appear after scripts run in a browser may be missed. In exchange it is fast and cheap.
- Detection is based on public fingerprints and can occasionally include false positives; each result has a `confidence` score.
