## Pricing

from $0.43 / 1,000 url checkeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Bulk URL Status & Broken Link Checker — Redirects, SSL

Check **thousands of URLs** in one run and find **broken links, redirect chains, slow pages and expiring SSL certificates**. **$0.50 per 1,000 URLs.**

- **HTTP status** with a simple result category: `ok`, `redirect`, `client_error` (404...), `server_error` (5xx), `ssl_error`, `unreachable`
- **Full redirect chain** (every hop with its status code) and the final URL
- **Response time**
- **SSL certificate**: valid or not, issuer, expiry date and **days until expiry**
- Optional **title, canonical URL and meta robots** (for SEO audits)
- Lightweight **HEAD requests** where possible, polite delays per site

### What can it be used for?

- **Broken link checks** for sitemaps, exports, link lists or backlinks
- **Redirect audits** after a site migration (http→https, old→new URLs)
- **SSL expiry monitoring** for all your domains (run it on a schedule)
- **Uptime spot checks** and response-time comparison
- **SEO checks**: canonical, meta robots and X-Robots-Tag for a list of URLs

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `urls` | URLs to check (`example.com` → `https://example.com`) |
| `includeTitle` | Also read title, canonical and meta robots (uses GET) |
| `checkSsl` | Certificate details (default on) |
| `maxRedirects`, `timeoutSecs`, `minDelayPerSiteMs`, `maxConcurrency` | Limits and politeness |

### Output

```json
{
    "url": "http://github.com",
    "status": 200,
    "ok": true,
    "category": "ok",
    "finalUrl": "https://github.com/",
    "redirected": true,
    "redirectCount": 1,
    "redirectChain": [{ "url": "http://github.com", "status": 301, "responseTimeMs": 73 }],
    "responseTimeMs": 49,
    "contentType": "text/html; charset=utf-8",
    "server": "github.com",
    "method": "GET",
    "title": "GitHub · Change is constant. GitHub keeps you ahead. · GitHub · GitHub",
    "canonical": "https://github.com",
    "ssl": {
        "valid": true,
        "issuer": "Sectigo Limited",
        "subject": "github.com",
        "validFrom": "2026-09-01T00:00:00.000Z",
        "validTo": "2026-11-29T23:59:59.000Z",
        "daysUntilExpiry": 54
    },
    "checkedAt": "2026-10-06T00:20:40.554Z"
}
```

An expired certificate is reported as `"category": "ssl_error"` with the certificate details (e.g. `"daysUntilExpiry": -4195`).

A `SUMMARY` record with counts per category is saved in the run's key-value store.

### Pricing

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| URL checked | $0.0005 ($0.50 per 1,000) |

Every checked URL is charged, including unreachable ones (that is the result of the check). Platform usage is included.

### Notes

- Only the URLs you provide are requested — the Actor does not crawl pages to find links.
- Some sites block automated requests or answer HEAD differently; the Actor falls back to GET when HEAD is not supported.
