## Pricing

from $10.00 / 1,000 commercial change reports

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## SaaS Pricing, Plans & Policy Change Monitor

Track competitor **SaaS pricing, plan limits, trials, commercial terms, and policy changes** with a persistent baseline.

The first run captures the current page. Later runs tell you whether the page is unchanged, changed only cosmetically, or contains a **commercially meaningful change**.

### What it monitors

- prices and billing cadence
- plan / usage limits
- free tiers and trials
- refunds, cancellations, and renewals
- SLA, rate limits, and retention language
- terms / policy signals
- strategic keywords such as `AI`, `SSO`, `API`, `unlimited`, integrations, or competitor names
- generic page changes that do not appear commercially important

### Why this is different from a website change detector

A generic monitor says:

> The page changed.

This Actor is built for **SaaS pricing monitoring, competitor pricing intelligence, plan change alerts, policy change monitoring, and GTM competitive intelligence**.

It tries to tell you:

> Pricing changed. Severity: high. Review your positioning and sales battlecard.

or:

> The page changed, but no tracked commercial facts changed.

### Stateful monitoring

Reuse the same `monitorId` on later runs. The Actor stores a persistent snapshot for each URL and compares future runs against it.

Use an Apify Schedule:

- daily for fast-moving competitors
- weekly for slower pricing / policy monitoring

### Example input

```json
{
  "urls": [
    "https://github.com/pricing",
    "https://www.notion.com/pricing"
  ],
  "monitorId": "competitors-q3",
  "watchTerms": ["AI", "SSO", "API", "unlimited"],
  "pageType": "auto",
  "timeoutSeconds": 15
}
```

### Output

Every checked URL produces one report with status, severity, extracted commercial facts, pricing / limit / policy differences, strategic-term changes, recommended actions, hashes, and timestamps.

### Best for

Competitive intelligence, product marketing, RevOps, sales enablement, founder / VC monitoring, vendor-renewal research, and pricing strategy.

### Limits

The lightweight HTTP fetcher keeps scheduled monitoring inexpensive. JavaScript-only, authenticated, CAPTCHA-protected, or heavily bot-protected pages may return limited content and will be flagged. Verify high-impact pricing or legal detections on the source page.

# Actor input Schema

## `urls` (type: `array`):

Public pricing, terms, policy, limits, changelog, docs, or product URLs. Each checked page produces one report row.

## `monitorId` (type: `string`):

Stable identifier for this monitoring set. Reuse it in later runs to compare with the prior snapshot.

## `watchTerms` (type: `array`):

Optional product, feature, integration, competitor, compliance, or commercial terms whose appearance/disappearance should be highlighted.

## `pageType` (type: `string`):

Auto-detect pricing, policy, changelog/docs, or generic commercial content, or force a type.

## `timeoutSeconds` (type: `integer`):

Maximum HTTP fetch time per page.

## Actor input object example

```json
  ],
  "monitorId": "default",
  "watchTerms": [
    "AI",
    "SSO",
    "API",
    "unlimited"
  ],
  "pageType": "auto",
  "timeoutSeconds": 15
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

Pricing, limits, policies, strategic terms and recommended actions.

# API

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("matiaslencina/saas-commercial-change-intelligence").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
    console.dir(item);
});
