## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## App Store Reviews Scraper — unlimited reviews, every country

**Get every Apple App Store review of any app, not just the last 500.** Apple's RSS feed stops at 500 reviews per country; this Actor reads the same review list as the App Store website and goes **up to 100,000 reviews per app and country**.

### What you get

- ⭐ **Rating, title, full text, date, edited flag and developer reply** for each review
- 🌍 **Any storefront** — `us`, `gb`, `fr`, `de`, `jp`, `br`… add several countries in one run (reviews are separate per country)
- 🔀 **4 sort orders** — most recent, most helpful, most favorable, most critical
- 🎯 **Filters** — star range (e.g. only 1–2★), keywords (`crash`, `subscription`, `login`…), "posted after" date
- 📱 **App details row** — rating, rating count, version, release date, price, genre, developer
- 🔔 **Monitoring mode** — schedule it daily and get only the reviews posted since the last run
- 🔒 Reviewer nicknames are **not** collected unless you turn it on

### Use cases

- **Product & UX teams** — mine thousands of 1–2★ reviews for bugs and feature requests, by country.
- **Competitor research** — what users love and hate about competing apps.
- **Sentiment analysis / LLM datasets** — large, clean, structured review corpora.
- **App agencies & ASO** — weekly review reports for clients, alerts on new negative reviews.

### Input examples

```json
{ "apps": ["https://apps.apple.com/us/app/spotify-music-and-podcasts/id324684580"], "maxReviewsPerApp": 5000 }
```json
{ "apps": ["324684580", "com.duolingo.DuolingoMobile"], "countries": ["us", "gb", "fr"], "maxRating": 2, "keywords": ["crash", "bug", "freeze"], "maxReviewsPerApp": 2000 }
```
Daily new-reviews feed:
```json
{ "apps": ["324684580"], "countries": ["us"], "monitorMode": true, "monitorId": "spotify-daily" }
```
### Output
```json

  "type": "review", "reviewId": "14656952893", "appId": "324684580", "appName": "Spotify: Music and Podcasts", "country": "us",

  "url": "https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id324684580?see-all=reviews"
}
```
### Pricing
| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Review | $0.25 / 1,000 |
| App details row | $0.002 |
### Speed & limits
About 500 reviews per minute per app and country without proxy. For very large jobs, enable the proxy option. Apple only shows reviews with a written text in this list (star-only ratings are counted in the app's rating, not listed).
### Good to know
Only publicly visible reviews are collected. This Actor is not affiliated with Apple. App Store is a trademark of Apple Inc.
# Actor input Schema
## `apps` (type: `array`):
App Store URLs (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/spotify/id324684580), app IDs (324684580) or bundle IDs (com.spotify.client).
## `maxReviewsPerApp` (type: `integer`):
How many reviews to fetch per app in each country (0 = app details only). Up to 100,000 — far beyond the 500 limit of Apple's RSS feed.
## `countries` (type: `array`):
Two-letter App Store storefronts (us, gb, fr, de, jp, br…). Reviews are separate per country — add several to cover every market. If empty, the country in the app URL is used, else 'us'.
## `sort` (type: `string`):
Most recent, most helpful (Apple's default), most favorable or most critical.
## `since` (type: `string`):
Date (YYYY-MM-DD). With 'Most recent' sorting, stops as soon as older reviews are reached — cheap way to get last week's reviews.
## `minRating` (type: `integer`):
Keep only reviews with at least this many stars (1–5).
## `maxRating` (type: `integer`):
Keep only reviews with at most this many stars. Set 2 to collect only negative reviews.
## `keywords` (type: `array`):
Keep only reviews whose title or text contains one of these words (e.g. crash, price, subscription, login).
## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):
Add one row per app and country with rating, rating count, version, release date, price, genre and developer.
## `language` (type: `string`):
Optional locale like en-GB or fr-FR. By default the main language of each storefront is used.
## `includeUserName` (type: `boolean`):
Off by default for privacy. Only turn on if you have a legitimate reason to process reviewer nicknames.
## `monitorMode` (type: `boolean`):
Only output reviews posted since the previous run with the same Monitor ID (the first run saves a baseline). Schedule daily for a new-reviews feed to Slack, email or a sheet.
## `monitorId` (type: `string`):
Name of your watch list. Use a different ID for each independent list of apps.
## `proxy` (type: `object`):
Optional. Apple rate-limits per IP; a proxy switches IP when blocked. Useful for very large jobs.
