## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## ATS Jobs API — Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee & Personio

Get **every open job** from a company's career board in **one clean, normalized schema** — just give a company domain or a career-page URL. The Actor detects which ATS the company uses, pulls the jobs from the ATS's official public job-board endpoint and returns them ready for your spreadsheet, CRM or database.

Turn on **Monitoring mode** and schedule it daily: you only get the jobs that **appeared or closed** since the last run. That's a ready-made **hiring-signal feed** for sales prospecting, recruiting agencies, VC/market research and job boards.

### Why this Actor

- **7 ATS platforms, one schema** — Greenhouse, Lever (US + EU), Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Personio.
- **Auto-detection** — pass `stripe.com`; we look for the career board on the company's site and probe the ATS APIs.
- **Salary when published** — min / max / currency / period (Lever, Ashby, Recruitee and others when the company shares it).
- **Monitoring mode** — new & closed jobs only, stored per watch list (`monitorId`).
- **Fast and reliable** — official public JSON/XML endpoints, no browser, no login, no fragile HTML scraping.
- **No personal data** — only job postings; recruiter names/emails are never collected.

### Input examples

```json
{
  "companies": ["stripe.com", "https://jobs.lever.co/palantir", "ashby:ramp", "https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb"],
  "keywords": ["engineer", "developer"],
  "locations": ["Remote", "United States"],
  "monitorMode": false
}
```

Hiring alerts (schedule daily):

```json
{ "companies": ["notion.so", "figma.com", "linear.app"], "monitorMode": true, "monitorId": "saas-watchlist" }
```

Accepted company formats: domain (`stripe.com`), board URL, or explicit `ats:slug` — `greenhouse:stripe`, `lever:palantir`, `ashby:ramp`, `workable:acme`, `smartrecruiters:Visa`, `recruitee:acme`, `personio:acme`. Explicit slugs are the fastest and most reliable.

### Output

```json
{
  "company": "ramp", "ats": "ashby", "jobId": "8a2f…", "title": "Senior Software Engineer, Backend",
  "department": "Engineering", "team": "Payments", "location": "New York | Remote (US)", "remote": true,
  "workplaceType": "Hybrid", "employmentType": "FullTime", "seniority": null,
  "salaryMin": 180000, "salaryMax": 250000, "salaryCurrency": "USD", "salaryPeriod": "1 YEAR", "salaryText": "$180K – $250K",
  "publishedAt": "2026-09-10T00:00:00.000Z", "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/…", "applyUrl": "…",
  "changeType": "new", "input": "ashby:ramp", "scrapedAt": "2026-09-29T08:00:00.000Z"
}
```

`changeType` is `new` / `closed` in monitoring mode and `null` otherwise. Turn on **Include job description** to get the full plain-text description. A `SUMMARY` record in the key-value store lists which ATS was found for each company.

### Pricing (pay per event)

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Job listing returned | $0.001 (= $1 per 1,000 jobs) |
| Job change returned (monitoring: new or closed) | $0.003 |
| Company resolved (ATS board found) | $0.002 |

Example: 50 companies × 40 jobs = 2,000 jobs ≈ **$2.10**. A daily watch of 50 companies with ~5 changes/day ≈ **$0.12/day**. Set a max cost per run in Apify to cap spending.

### FAQ

**A company isn't found.** It may use an ATS not supported yet (Workday, iCIMS, Taleo, BambooHR…) or a custom domain. Pass the career-board URL directly, or open an issue — we add ATS based on requests.

**Is this legal?** The Actor reads the public job-board endpoints that ATS vendors provide so that jobs can be displayed on career sites. It collects job postings only, no personal data. Use the data responsibly and respect each company's terms.

**Support.** Open an issue on the Actor page — we usually answer within 24 hours.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

One per line. Accepts a company domain (stripe.com), a career-board URL (https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe, https://jobs.lever.co/palantir, https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp …) or an explicit 'ats:slug' (greenhouse:stripe, lever:palantir, ashby:ramp, workable:acme, smartrecruiters:Visa, recruitee:acme, personio:acme).

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Adds the full description as plain text. Makes the dataset larger.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose title contains at least one keyword (case-insensitive). Empty = all jobs.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose location contains one of these strings (e.g. 'Remote', 'London', 'United States'). Empty = all.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Only return jobs marked as remote.

## `monitorMode` (type: `boolean`):

Compares with the previous run that used the same Monitor ID and outputs only jobs that appeared (changeType=new) or disappeared (changeType=closed). The first run outputs everything as 'new'. Schedule it daily for hiring alerts.

## `monitorId` (type: `string`):

Name of this watch list. Use different IDs for different lists.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of jobs returned per company (0 = no limit).
