## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Play Reviews & App Details Scraper

Get **Google Play reviews** and **app details** for any Android app, in any language and country — fast, clean and cheap.

- ⭐ **Reviews**: rating, full text, date, app version, thumbs-up count and the **developer's reply** (text + date).
- 📊 **App details**: title, developer, genre, average rating, **rating histogram (1★–5★)**, ratings and reviews count, installs, price & currency, ads, in-app purchases, content rating, release date, last update, description, icon.
- 🔔 **Monitoring mode**: schedule it daily and get **only the new reviews** since the last run — perfect for Slack/email alerts, support teams and reputation tracking.
- 🌍 Any **language** (`en`, `fr`, `de`, `es`, `pt`, `ja`…) and **country** (`us`, `gb`, `fr`, `de`, `br`, `in`…).
- 🎯 Filters: min/max stars (e.g. only 1–2★ complaints), only reviews with text, sort by newest / most relevant / rating.
- 🔒 Privacy-friendly: reviewer names are **not** collected unless you explicitly turn it on.

No login, no browser, no cookies.

### Who uses it

- **Product & support teams** — catch bugs and complaints the day they're posted, track how each release is received (`appVersion`).
- **ASO & app marketing agencies** — compare ratings, histograms and review themes against competitors.
- **Market research & investors** — follow installs, rating trends and user sentiment across an app category.
- **AI / LLM pipelines** — feed fresh, structured review text into sentiment analysis or topic clustering.

### Pricing

Pay only for what you get:

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Review | $0.0003 (= $0.30 per 1,000 reviews) |
| App details | $0.002 |

Set a maximum charge per run in the run options if you want a hard cap.

### Tips

- Google Play returns reviews mostly in the selected `language`: run once per language you care about.
- For very large apps, use `sort: "newest"` with `monitorMode` daily instead of re-downloading everything.
- `appVersion` lets you compare ratings before/after a release.

### Good to know

This Actor collects publicly visible Google Play data. Reviewer display names are excluded by default; if you enable them, you are responsible for processing them lawfully (GDPR). Google Play is a trademark of Google LLC; this Actor is not affiliated with Google.
