## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Telegram Channel Scraper — posts, views, reactions (no login)

**Scrape any public Telegram channel without a Telegram account, API key or phone number.** Get every post with its text, date, views, reactions, photos, videos, links, forwards and replies, plus the channel's subscriber count — in a clean table you can export to Excel, CSV or JSON.

### Why this Actor

- 🔓 **No login, no session, no ban risk** — uses Telegram's public web preview (t.me/s/…), the same page anyone can open in a browser.
- 📜 **Full history** — paginates back through the channel, up to 50,000 posts per channel.
- 🔎 **Search inside channels** — uses Telegram's own in-channel search to find posts about a topic in seconds.
- 📊 **Engagement data** — views and reactions (emoji, custom emoji and paid Stars) for each post.
- 🗓️ **Filters** — date range, keywords, minimum views, posts with media only.
- 🔔 **Monitoring mode** — returns only new posts since the last run: schedule it and get a feed in Slack, Google Sheets, email or your webhook.
- 💸 **Pay only for results** — no monthly rental.

### Who uses it

- **Crypto & trading teams** — watch signal, project and news channels.
- **Media monitoring & PR** — track what news channels publish about a brand or topic.
- **Researchers & OSINT** — archive public channels with dates and engagement.
- **Marketers** — benchmark channels by views and reactions, find top-performing posts.

### Pricing

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Post in the results | $0.0012 ($1.20 per 1,000 posts) |
| Channel info row | $0.002 |

Filters are applied before charging: you only pay for posts you get.

### Good to know

- Works with **public channels** only (those with a t.me/s/… preview). Private channels, groups and bots are reported in the run summary and skipped.
- Media URLs point to Telegram's CDN and can expire after some time — download files you need to keep.
- Views and reactions are the values shown on Telegram at scraping time (rounded, e.g. 1.41M).
- Only publicly available data is collected. You are responsible for using it in line with the law (GDPR in the EU) and Telegram's terms. This Actor is not affiliated with Telegram.

# Actor input Schema

## `channels` (type: `array`):

Public channels: links (https://t.me/durov), @usernames or usernames. Private channels, groups and bots have no public web preview and are skipped.

## `maxPostsPerChannel` (type: `integer`):

Newest posts first. Up to 50,000 per channel.

## `searchQuery` (type: `string`):

Optional. Uses Telegram's own in-channel search (e.g. bitcoin, iphone, election) — much faster than scanning the whole history.

## `since` (type: `string`):

Date (YYYY-MM-DD). Stops as soon as older posts are reached.

## `until` (type: `string`):

Date (YYYY-MM-DD), inclusive.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only posts whose text contains one of these words (case-insensitive).

## `minViews` (type: `integer`):

Skip posts with fewer views.

## `onlyWithMedia` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only posts with photos, videos or files.

## `includeChannelInfo` (type: `boolean`):

Add one row per channel with title, description, subscribers, verified badge and media counts.

## `monitorMode` (type: `boolean`):

Only output posts published since the previous run with the same Monitor ID (the first run saves a baseline). Schedule it hourly or daily for a feed to Slack, email, a sheet or a webhook.

## `monitorId` (type: `string`):

Name of your watch list. Use a different ID for each independent list of channels.

## `proxy` (type: `object`):

Optional. Only needed for very large jobs if Telegram starts rate-limiting.
