## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Workday Jobs Scraper — any myworkdayjobs.com career site

Get **every open job from any company that hires with Workday** — NVIDIA, Salesforce, Walmart, Bank of America, Adobe, Netflix and thousands more — in one clean table, with the **full job description, location, country, time type and exact posting date**.

Paste the career-site URL you see in your browser, press Start, done. No login, no browser, no cookies: the Actor reads the same public JSON that powers the Workday career page, so it's fast and stable.

Turn on **Monitoring mode** and schedule it daily: you only get the jobs that **appeared or closed** since the last run — a ready-made hiring-signal feed.

### Who uses it

- **Sales & lead generation** — spot companies hiring for roles your product serves (hiring a "Salesforce admin"? they need your tool).
- **Recruiting agencies** — see new openings at your target accounts the day they're posted.
- **Job boards & aggregators** — feed thousands of fresh Workday jobs into your site.
- **Market & investment research** — track hiring velocity, new locations and teams at public companies.

### Features

- ✅ Any Workday site: `*.myworkdayjobs.com` and `*.myworkdaysite.com/recruiting/...`
- ✅ Full description (text + HTML), location, extra locations, country + ISO code, time type, remote flag
- ✅ Exact posting date (not just "Posted 30+ days ago")
- ✅ Workday's own keyword search + location / title / exclude / "posted within N days" filters
- ✅ Monitoring mode: only **new** and **closed** jobs since the previous run
- ✅ Multiple companies per run, retries and polite concurrency built in

### Input example

```json
{
  "careerSites": [
    "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
    "https://salesforce.wd12.myworkdayjobs.com/External_Career_Site"
  ],
  "searchText": "data engineer",
  "locations": ["United States", "Remote"],
  "postedWithinDays": 14,
  "maxJobsPerSite": 300
}
```

**Hiring alerts** (schedule daily):

```json
{ "careerSites": ["https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite"], "monitorMode": true, "monitorId": "my-watchlist" }
```

How to find the URL: open the company's "Careers" page, click "Search jobs" — if the address contains `myworkdayjobs.com` or `myworkdaysite.com`, copy it as is.

### Output example

```json
{
  "company": "nvidia",
  "companyName": "NVIDIA USA",
  "careerSite": "NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
  "jobId": "JR2020850",
  "title": "Senior DFT Methodology - Data Analytics and Applied AI Engineer",
  "location": "US, CA, Santa Clara",
  "additionalLocations": [],
  "country": "United States of America",
  "countryCode": "US",
  "remote": null,
  "timeType": "Full time",
  "postedDate": "2026-10-02",
  "postedDateApprox": false,
  "description": "NVIDIA has continuously reinvented itself over two decades…",
  "url": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite/job/US-CA-Santa-Clara/Senior-DFT-Methodology---Data-Analytics-and-Applied-AI-Engineer_JR2020850",
  "changeType": null,
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-09T13:00:00.000Z"
}
```

In monitoring mode, `changeType` is `new` or `closed`.

### Pricing

Pay only for what you get:

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Job in the results | $0.001 |
| New / closed job (monitoring mode) | $0.003 |
| Career site scanned | $0.002 |

1,000 jobs ≈ **$1**. Set a maximum charge per run in the run options if you want a hard cap.

### Tips

- Use `searchText` to let Workday filter server-side: much faster on sites with thousands of jobs.
- Turn off `includeDescription` for a quick title/location list (one request per 20 jobs).
- Workday shows at most a few thousand results per search; for very large employers, run several searches (by keyword) instead of one giant run.

### Good to know

This Actor only collects public job postings that companies publish for candidates. It does not collect personal data about recruiters or employees. Workday is a trademark of Workday, Inc.; this Actor is not affiliated with Workday.

# Actor input Schema

## `careerSites` (type: `array`):

One URL per company, as you see it in your browser, e.g. https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite or https://wd1.myworkdaysite.com/recruiting/acme/External. Locale segments like /en-US/ are fine.

## `searchText` (type: `string`):

Optional keyword search run by Workday itself (same as the search box on the career site), e.g. "data engineer".

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose location contains one of these texts (case-insensitive), e.g. "United States", "London", "Remote".

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose title contains at least one of these words.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these words, e.g. "intern", "senior".

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep only jobs posted in the last N days. 0 = no limit.

## `maxJobsPerSite` (type: `integer`):

Upper limit of jobs fetched per career site (before filters).

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Fetch each job page for the full description, country, time type and exact posting date. Turn off for a faster, title-only list.

## `monitorMode` (type: `boolean`):

Only output jobs that appeared or closed since the previous run with the same Monitor ID. Schedule the Actor daily to get hiring alerts.

## `monitorId` (type: `string`):

Name of your watch list. Use a different ID for each independent list of companies.
