## Pricing

from $1.35 / 1,000 search matches

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### 🔎 Search Facebook Profiles and Pages by Keyword

Researchers, marketers, and developers can search Facebook with one keyword and collect public profile and Page matches. The Actor returns structured dataset rows with names, direct Facebook URLs, Facebook IDs, verification status, and public image links when Facebook exposes them. Use the rows for public profile and Page research, lead-list building, or other workflows that need machine-readable Facebook search data.

- Find public profile and Page matches with **[Facebook Search Without Account](https://apify.com/maximedupre/facebook-search-results/examples/facebook-search-without-account)**.
- Search for a named profile or Page with **[Facebook Search By Name Without Account](https://apify.com/maximedupre/facebook-search-results/examples/facebook-search-by-name-without-account)**.
- Search by a person's name with **[Free Facebook Search By Name](https://apify.com/maximedupre/facebook-search-results/examples/free-facebook-search-by-name)**.
- Review profile-focused matches with **[Search Facebook Profile Anonymously](https://apify.com/maximedupre/facebook-search-results/examples/search-facebook-profile-anonymously)**.
- Try a name and city phrase with **[Find Friends On Facebook By Name And City](https://apify.com/maximedupre/facebook-search-results/examples/find-friends-on-facebook-by-name-and-city)**.

#### 📋 Public profile and Page matches

Each dataset row is one public Facebook profile or Page match found for the keyword. The row includes `resultType`, and Facebook may also expose a name, direct URL, Facebook ID, verification flag, and image links. Optional fields can be missing when Facebook does not expose them.

Facebook's public search surface is not an exhaustive source, so the dataset contains only the matches that it exposes.

#### ▶️ Search once, then review the dataset

Enter one keyword and start a run. The Actor saves eligible matches as it finds them and continues until `maxItems` is reached or the public search surface is exhausted. If the same source profile or Page appears again, the first eligible occurrence is kept and later matches are ignored. The saved row describes only that first match.

Use `maxItems` when you want a shorter run. Leave it empty to return all available results until the source is exhausted.

#### ⚙️ Input

Enter one keyword for each run. The Actor searches public Facebook profile and Page results for that value. The input has no fixed upper bound for `maxItems`.

**Input fields**

| Field | Type | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `keyword` | string | One keyword or phrase used for this run. This field is required. |
| `maxItems` | integer | Optional limit on saved rows. It must be at least `1`. Leave it empty to return all available results until the source is exhausted. |

**Example input**

This example is copied from the successful current-beta default-input run.

```json
{
  "keyword": "photographer",
  "maxItems": 1
}
```

Use a separate run for each keyword. One run does not combine several independently configured keyword searches.

#### 🧾 Output

The run output contains a link to the default dataset. The dataset has one row shape for public profile and Page matches.

**Run output**

| Field | Type | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `results` | string | Opens the public Facebook profile and Page matches in the default dataset. |

**Dataset row**

Every row has `resultType` and at least one of `name`, `url`, or `facebookId`. Optional fields appear when Facebook exposes them. `resultType` is `profile` or `page`.

| Field | Type | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `resultType` | string | Identifies the Facebook match as a `profile` or `page`. |
| `name` | string | Public display name when Facebook exposes it. |
| `url` | string (URL) | Direct public Facebook URL when Facebook exposes it. |
| `facebookId` | string | Facebook source identifier when Facebook exposes it. |
| `isVerified` | boolean | Says whether Facebook marks the match as verified. |
| `images` | array of objects | Lists public image links and available size data. |
| `images[].url` | string (URL) | Public image URL. |
| `images[].width` | integer | Image width in pixels when available. |
| `images[].height` | integer | Image height in pixels when available. |

**Example page row**

This is a genuine row from the successful current-beta run for `officialrallylegend`.

```json
{
  "resultType": "page",
  "name": "RALLYLEGEND OFFICIAL FACEBOOK PAGE",
  "facebookId": "100064273826282",
  "url": "https://www.facebook.com/officialrallylegend",
  "isVerified": false,
  "images": [
    {
      "width": 60,
      "height": 60
    }
  ]
}
```

#### 💳 Pricing

Pricing is pay per event. The primary machine event is `facebook-search-result`, shown to buyers as **Search match**. One event covers one public Facebook profile or Page match saved to the dataset. Prices vary by Apify pricing tier and appear in the Pricing panel.

#### 🔌 Integrations

Open the `results` link in the run output to view the default dataset. Apify also lets you export dataset rows or read them through the dataset API.

#### ❓ FAQ

##### Does this Actor need a Facebook login?

No. It searches public Facebook data and does not require your Facebook login or private account details.

##### Can one run search several keywords?

No. Enter one keyword or phrase per run. Start another run when you need a different search.

##### What does an empty Maximum results value do?

It returns all available results until the source is exhausted. `maxItems` has no fixed upper bound in the input schema.

##### Does it return private profiles or Pages?

No. The Actor is limited to public profile and Page matches exposed by Facebook. Private, login-only, or otherwise restricted content is outside its scope.

##### Does it return groups, posts, or events?

No. This Actor covers public profile and Page search results. Groups, posts, events, and other search surfaces are outside its scope.

##### Why is a field missing from a row?

Facebook does not expose every field for every public match. The Actor keeps available values and leaves optional source fields out when they are not available.

##### What happens when the same profile or Page appears twice?

The first eligible occurrence is saved. Later occurrences are ignored, and the saved row describes only that first match.

##### Is the search exhaustive?

No. The Actor returns matches exposed by Facebook's public search surface, not every profile or Page that might exist.

##### Can a row contain only an ID or URL?

Yes. Every row has `resultType` and at least one of `name`, `url`, or `facebookId`. Other fields may be missing when Facebook does not expose them.
