## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Scrape **open jobs from a company's Workday career site** and optionally see **which roles are new since your last run**. Paste `*.myworkdayjobs.com` careers URLs and get clean, normalized job data. Uses Workday's **public CXS JSON API** (the same feed that powers the careers UI). **No browser, no login, and usually no proxies.**

Pairs with the [Greenhouse / Lever / Ashby Jobs Scraper + Monitor](https://apify.com/mayevil/greenhouse-lever-jobs-scraper) for non-Workday ATS boards, and the [Shopify Products.json Scraper — Price & Stock Monitor](https://apify.com/mayevil/shopify-catalog-monitor) for ecommerce catalogs.

### What does this Workday jobs scraper do?

- 🏢 **Workday career sites.** Targets public `*.myworkdayjobs.com` boards via `/wday/cxs/{tenant}/{siteId}/jobs`.
- 🆕 **Hiring-signal monitor.** Remembers seen requisitions and outputs only **new** (and optionally **closed**) jobs between runs.
- 🧹 **Normalized fields.** Title, location, country, `workplaceType`, `employmentType`, requisition id, apply URL, ISO `postedAt` (from detail `startDate`), plain-text or HTML description.
- 🎯 **Filters.** Title include/exclude, location keywords, remote only, posted within N days, max jobs per company / total.
- 🛡️ **Polite.** Per-host throttling, retries on 429/5xx, per-company `RUN_SUMMARY` (`ok` / `not_found` / `error` / `skipped`).

### Who uses it?

#### Recruiters and staffing agencies

Watch Workday career sites of target clients and get a daily list of **new openings** in your niche before they hit aggregators.

#### Sales intelligence and hiring signals

A surge of new engineering or security roles is a buying signal. Feed **new-job events** from Workday boards into CRM, Clay, or outreach sequences.

#### Job boards and aggregators

Pull **fresh, structured Workday jobs** (apply links, workplace type, employment type) for niche boards or newsletters.

#### Market research, investors and HR analytics

Measure **hiring velocity** across competitors that run Workday, follow new office openings, and track remote vs onsite mix.

A **`RUN_SUMMARY`** record in the run key-value store lists every company with status and counts.

### Monitor mode

- State lives in key-value store `workday-jobs-monitor-state` under your **Monitor state key**.
- First run: all matching jobs as `new`, or baseline-only if **Skip existing on first run** is on.
- Later runs: only new (and optionally `closed`) jobs.
- Jobs not output because of max/budget caps are **not** marked seen, so the next run delivers them.

### Pricing

**$1.50 per 1,000 jobs**, pay per result (pay-per-event). You pay only for jobs saved to your dataset, plus a tiny Apify start fee per run ($0.00005). There is no monthly rental, and **in monitor mode you pay only for new or closed jobs.**

| Apify plan discount | Price per 1,000 jobs |
|---|---|
| Free / Starter | $1.50 |
| Bronze | $1.40 |
| Silver | $1.25 |
| Gold and above | $1.00 |

Examples at $1.50 / 1,000:

- Sample of 1 company × 50 jobs ≈ **$0.075**.
- A daily monitor of 50 Workday sites that finds ~30 new jobs/day ≈ 900 jobs/month ≈ **$1.35/month**.

Set **Max jobs in total** or the run's **maximum cost** to cap spending. The run stops gracefully when either limit is reached.

### FAQ

#### How do I find the Workday tenant / site URL?

Open the company's public careers page. The address bar is usually `https://{tenant}.wd{N}.myworkdayjobs.com/{siteId}` (sometimes with an `en-US` locale segment). Paste that URL; do not use the internal Workday HCM login host.

#### Do I need proxies?

Usually **no**. Most public CXS boards work without Apify Proxy. Some tenants return 422/401; those are reported as `not_found` in `RUN_SUMMARY`.

#### Why did a large board time out?

Descriptions require one CXS detail request per job. For Try / sample runs, set **Include job description** to false and use **Max jobs per company** / **Max jobs in total** (e.g. 5–20). List page size is 20 (Workday API limit).

#### Is it legal to scrape Workday career sites?

This Actor only reads **public job postings** via Workday's **public CXS JSON API** that powers careers UIs. It does not access authenticated HCM data or candidate profiles. You are responsible for lawful use and employer terms.

#### Can I get data into Google Sheets, Slack or my CRM?

Yes. Use Apify integrations or webhooks. A common setup is a daily schedule in monitor mode that only emits new/closed jobs.

#### Which boards are not supported?

Authenticated / internal Workday tenants, and some CXS endpoints that reject anonymous access. Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable and Recruitee are covered by the [sibling ATS Actor](https://apify.com/mayevil/greenhouse-lever-jobs-scraper).

### Limitations

- **Public CXS boards only.** Does not access authenticated Workday HCM / internal tenant data.
- **Some tenants return 422/401** on CXS (e.g. certain Microsoft-style sites). Those are reported as `not_found` in `RUN_SUMMARY`.
- **Descriptions need one detail request per job.** Turn **Include job description** off for fast list-only runs.
- **List page size is 20** (Workday API limit). Large boards (1k–2k+ jobs) take more wall time.
- **Salary** is rarely exposed on CXS; fields are reserved/null.
- **Department** is often missing on the public list/detail payloads used here.
- Bare company names without a site id are **not** auto-discovered; pass a full careers URL.

Name of the watchlist memory. Use a different key per schedule.

## `skipExistingOnFirstRun` (type: `boolean`):

Baseline only on first sight of a company in monitor mode.

## `outputClosedJobs` (type: `boolean`):

In monitor mode, emit status "closed" for jobs that disappeared since the last run.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Fetches each job's CXS detail page for the HTML/text description (one extra request per output job). Turn off for faster, cheaper list-only runs.

## `descriptionFormat` (type: `string`):

Plain text (LLM-friendly) or original HTML.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Cap on output jobs per career site. 0 = no per-company cap (still respects Max jobs in total). Default 50 keeps Store Try It runs under the timeout when Include description is on.

## `maxJobsTotal` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many dataset items (cost control). 0 = no cap.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many career sites are processed in parallel. Per-host CXS calls are also throttled.

## `maxRequestsPerMinute` (type: `integer`):

Upper bound on how many company boards are started per minute.

## `detailConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Only used when Include job description (or postedWithinDays) is on.
