## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## French Energy Diagnostics - Passoires Thermiques (DPE)

Find French homes with a poor energy rating (DPE F or G) from the official ADEME diagnostic database (15M+ records, updated daily). These are the "passoires thermiques": under the loi Climat, renting them out is being progressively banned (class G since 2025, class F from 2028, class E from 2034). Their owners face a legal deadline to renovate or lose the right to rent.

Recherche des passoires thermiques (DPE F et G) par code postal ou département, à partir de la base officielle de l'ADEME. Les diagnostics les plus récents sortent en premier.

### Who this is for

- **Renovation companies (RGE-certified):** a prospect list of addresses that legally need insulation, heating or window work.
- **Real estate agents:** flag properties whose rental value is at risk, and owners likely to sell.
- **Landlords, property managers, energy advisers:** audit a street, a building or a whole area.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `dpeClasses` | Energy classes to include. Default F and G. |
| `postalCodes` | Postal codes, for example 69001. |
| `departments` | Department codes, for example 69, 75, 2A. |
| `dateFrom`, `dateTo` | Diagnostic date range (YYYY-MM-DD). |
| `maxResults` | Hard limit on items returned (and charged). |

Example: class G homes in Rhône diagnosed in 2026:

```json
{
  "dpeClasses": ["G"],
  "departments": ["69"],
  "dateFrom": "2026-01-01",
  "maxResults": 1000
}
```

### Output

```json
{
  "dpeId": "2669E0029954Y",
  "address": "27bis Passage Mermet 69001 Lyon",
  "postalCode": "69001",
  "city": "Lyon",
  "inseeCode": "69381",
  "latitude": 45.770148,
  "longitude": 4.834009,
  "dpeClass": "F",
  "gesClass": "C",
  "buildingType": "appartement",
  "livingArea": 39.7,
  "assessmentDate": "2026-01-07",
  "validUntil": "2036-01-06",
  "energyConsumptionPerM2": 396,
  "annualEnergyCost": 1751.6
}
```

Results are sorted by diagnostic date, newest first: the freshest diagnostics are the owners most likely to act now.

### Pricing

Pay per result (`dpe-result`). You only pay for items returned. Nothing is charged for an empty search.

### Source and limits

- ADEME open data (data.ademe.fr), dataset "DPE Logements existants (depuis juillet 2021)", Licence Ouverte.
- Diagnostics are entered by certified diagnosticians and published as is by ADEME.
- The database contains addresses, not owner names or contact details. This Actor does not add personal data.
