## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Email, Phone & WhatsApp Scraper for Websites + LinkedIn

Give it a list of company websites, LinkedIn company pages or LinkedIn profiles. It returns one row per company with the business contact details published on the company's own website:

- **Emails**, with the company's own domain first, and a check that each email domain can receive mail
- **Phone numbers** in international format (`+9715...`), including numbers written in Arabic digits (`٠٥٠ ١٢٣ ٤٥٦٧`) or without a country code
- **WhatsApp numbers** from click-to-chat links
- **LinkedIn company page**, LinkedIn profiles linked from the site, and Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat and Telegram links

Pricing: **$2.50 per 1,000 URLs**, website or LinkedIn, one flat fee per URL checked. No extra charge for results, and no platform usage costs on top.

### Why this one

Most contact scrapers are built for English-language sites and US phone formats. This one is built for the Gulf and the wider Middle East and North Africa:

- finds contact pages named in Arabic (`اتصل بنا`, `تواصل معنا`, `من نحن`) as well as English, German, French and Spanish
- reads Arabic-Indic digits
- works out the country from the domain ending (`.ae`, `.sa`, `.eg`, `.qa`, `.kw` ...) so local numbers like `04 123 4567` come back as `+97141234567`
- decodes emails hidden behind Cloudflare email protection and `name [at] company [dot] com` spellings

### Input

| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Company websites | Domains or URLs, one per line |
| LinkedIn company or profile URLs | Public `linkedin.com/company/...` or `linkedin.com/in/...` URLs |
| Default country | Two-letter code for numbers without a country prefix; leave empty to use the domain ending |
| Pages per website | Home page plus the most likely contact, about and team pages (default 5) |
| Check mail server | Moves emails whose domain cannot receive mail into a separate field |

### LinkedIn input

The Actor reads LinkedIn pages the way an anonymous visitor does: no login, no cookies, no account at risk.

- **Company page**: it reads the company name, size and website, then extracts the contacts from that website.
- **Profile**: it reads the person's public name, job title and current employer, then extracts the employer's contacts. The row carries both the person and the company.

LinkedIn does not publish personal emails or phone numbers on public profiles, so this Actor does not return them. What you get is the person plus their company's published contact details.

LinkedIn pages are read through residential addresses automatically; there is nothing to configure. Pages that still come back as a login wall are returned with status `linkedin-blocked`; they are still charged the per-URL fee.

### Output

```json
{
  "domain": "example.ae",
  "website": "https://www.example.ae/",
  "status": "ok",
  "emails": ["info@example.ae", "sales@example.ae"],
  "emailsWithoutMailServer": [],
  "phones": ["+97141234567"],
  "whatsapp": ["+971501234567"],
  "linkedin": ["https://www.linkedin.com/company/example"],
  "linkedinPeople": [],
  "social": { "instagram": ["https://www.instagram.com/example"] },
  "company": null,
  "person": null,
  "pagesChecked": 5
}
```

`status` is `ok`, `unreachable`, `linkedin-blocked`, `no-website` or `no-company-page`.

### Limits

- Pages are read without a browser, so sites that build their contact details entirely with JavaScript return little or nothing. Those rows are still charged the per-URL fee.
- Only details published on the site are returned. Nothing is guessed.

# Actor input Schema

## `domains` (type: `array`):

Domains or URLs, one per line. Example: example.com

## `linkedinUrls` (type: `array`):

Public linkedin.com/company/... or linkedin.com/in/... URLs. The Actor reads the public page without logging in, finds the company website and extracts the contacts from it.

## `defaultCountry` (type: `string`):

Two-letter country code used for numbers written without a country prefix, for example AE, SA, EG, QA, KW. Leave empty to guess it from the domain ending.

## `maxPagesPerDomain` (type: `integer`):

The home page plus the most likely contact, about and team pages.

## `checkMailServer` (type: `boolean`):

Marks emails whose domain cannot receive mail.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "domains": [
    "apify.com"
  ],
  "maxPagesPerDomain": 5,
  "checkMailServer": true
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `contacts` (type: `string`):

One row per company: emails, phones, WhatsApp numbers and social links.

        "apify.com"
    ]
};

// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("measured_masala/email-phone-contact-scraper").call(input);

// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
