## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## AutoScout24 Car Listings Scraper (Europe)

Pull used-car listings from AutoScout24 into a clean dataset: price, mileage, first registration, fuel, transmission, power and dealer location. Use it for price benchmarking, dealer stock monitoring, market research or arbitrage across European markets (Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Poland, Luxembourg).

### Sample output

The structure of one dataset item (values are illustrative):

```json
{
  "id": "0a1b2c3d-1111-2222-3333-444455556666",
  "url": "https://www.autoscout24.de/angebote/volkswagen-golf-...",
  "title": "Volkswagen Golf 1.5 TSI Life",
  "make": "Volkswagen",
  "model": "Golf",
  "version": "1.5 TSI Life",
  "priceEur": 18990,
  "priceFormatted": "€ 18,990",
  "mileageKm": 42000,
  "firstRegistration": "03/2020",
  "fuel": "Gasoline",
  "transmission": "Manual",
  "power": "96 kW (131 hp)",
  "bodyType": null,
  "sellerType": "Dealer",
  "dealerName": "Autohaus Example GmbH",
  "city": "Munich",
  "zip": "80331",
  "countryCode": "DE",
  "image": "https://prod.pictures.autoscout24.net/...",
  "searchUrl": "https://www.autoscout24.de/lst/volkswagen/golf?..."
}
```

Some fields can be empty when a listing does not publish them.

### Input

- **Market**: which AutoScout24 country site to search.
- **Make / Model**: e.g. `volkswagen` / `golf` (model requires a make).
- **Price, year, mileage filters** and **fuel type**.
- **Maximum results** and **maximum pages**.

### Pricing

$0.003 per result ($3 per 1,000 listings). You are charged per dataset item, nothing else.

### Limits

- AutoScout24 serves at most 20 result pages (about 400 listings) per search. Run several narrower searches (price bands, years) to go deeper.
- Only data visible to a logged-out visitor is read. No phone numbers or personal contact details are collected; dealer name and location are business information shown in the listing.
- Requests are rate limited. If plain requests are blocked, the Actor falls back to Apify proxy automatically.
- The site layout can change, which may affect some fields.
