## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Marktplaats Netherlands Listings Scraper

Monitor second-hand prices, find deals, or build a dataset of Dutch classifieds. Give it a keyword like `fiets` and get structured listings from Marktplaats: title, price, city, seller, images and posting date.

### Sample output

The shape of one dataset item (values illustrative):

```json
{
  "id": "m2012345678",
  "url": "https://www.marktplaats.nl/v/fietsen-en-brommers/fietsen-heren-racefietsen/m2012345678-racefiets-giant",
  "title": "Racefiets Giant",
  "description": "Goed onderhouden racefiets, maat 56...",
  "priceEur": 450.0,
  "priceType": "FIXED",
  "city": "Utrecht",
  "country": "Nederland",
  "distanceKm": null,
  "latitude": 52.09,
  "longitude": 5.12,
  "sellerName": "Jan",
  "sellerId": 12345678,
  "sellerType": "private_or_unknown",
  "imageUrls": ["https://images.marktplaats.com/api/v1/listing-twh-p/images/aa/aabbcc.jpg"],
  "postedAt": "2025-01-15T09:12:00Z",
  "categoryId": 445,
  "attributes": null,
  "source": "search",
  "query": "fiets"
}
```

Fields that Marktplaats does not show for a listing are returned as `null`.

### Input

- **Search keywords**: one search per keyword.
- **Search result URLs**: marktplaats.nl search or category pages.
- **Listing URLs**: individual public listing pages.
- **Maximum listings**: total cap (default 50, max 5000).
- **Sort order**, **min/max price**, **postcode** and **distance** apply to keyword searches.
- **Use Apify residential proxy**: normally off. The Actor switches to the proxy automatically if the site blocks plain requests.

### Pricing

$0.002 per result (listing in the dataset). You pay only for items returned.

### Limits

- Reads only public, logged-out data. No emails or phone numbers are collected.
- Requests are rate-limited (about one per second) and back off on HTTP 429.
- CAPTCHAs are never solved; if the site blocks the Actor, the run ends with what it has.
- Marktplaats caps how deep a single search can page, so very broad searches may return fewer results than requested. Use filters or several keywords.
- Site structure can change; fields may be `null` if not present.

## `listingUrls` (type: `array`):

Optional URLs of individual public Marktplaats listings (/v/...).

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of listings to return in total (1-5000).
