## Pricing

$2.00 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Truth Social Public Posts Scraper

Monitor what public Truth Social accounts and hashtags are posting, and get it as clean structured JSON. Use it for media monitoring, political research, sentiment analysis and archiving. It reads only what a logged-out visitor can see.

### Sample output

```json
{
    "type": "post",
    "source": "@realDonaldTrump",
    "id": "112233445566778899",
    "url": "https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/112233445566778899",
    "created_at": "2024-05-01T14:03:22.000Z",
    "text": "Example post text...",
    "language": "en",
    "is_reply": false,
    "is_reblog": false,
    "replies_count": 1200,
    "reblogs_count": 3400,
    "favourites_count": 15000,
    "tags": [],
    "mentions": [],
    "media": [],
    "author_username": "realDonaldTrump",
    "author_display_name": "Donald J. Trump",
    "author_verified": true,
    "author_followers": 7000000
}
```

(Illustrative values; real runs return the live data.)

### Input

- **Usernames**: accounts to extract (names or profile URLs).
- **Hashtags**: public hashtag timelines to extract.
- **Max posts per username / hashtag** and **Max items in total**: control volume and cost.
- **Include profile records**: adds one profile item (bio, follower/following/post counts) per username.
- **Include replies / Include re-truths**: filter the content.
- **Use Apify Proxy**: Truth Social may block datacenter traffic. The Actor tries direct first and falls back to the Apify residential proxy automatically; switch this on to use it from the start.

At least one username or hashtag is required.

### Output

One dataset item per post (`type: "post"`) or profile (`type: "profile"`), with text, HTML, timestamps, engagement counts, media URLs, link cards, tags, mentioned handles and author info.

### Pricing

$0.002 per result (dataset item), charged by the platform. Set **Max items in total** to cap spend.

### Limits

- Public data only; no login, no private or deleted content.
- Free-text search is not included because it requires a login; use hashtags instead.
- Truth Social may rate limit or block requests. The Actor backs off on 429s and never solves CAPTCHAs. If access stays blocked, the run ends with a clear error.
- Requests are paced (about one page of 40 posts per 1.5 seconds).
- Availability of endpoints depends on Truth Social and can change without notice.

# Actor input Schema

## `usernames` (type: `array`):

Truth Social usernames (or profile URLs) whose public posts to extract, e.g. realDonaldTrump.

## `hashtags` (type: `array`):

Hashtags (without #) whose public timelines to extract.

## `maxItemsPerSource` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of posts to collect for each username or hashtag (1-1000).

## `maxItemsTotal` (type: `integer`):

Hard cap on the total number of dataset items, which also caps your cost (1-5000).

## `includeProfiles` (type: `boolean`):

Also output one profile record (bio, follower counts) per username. Each record counts as one result.

## `includeReplies` (type: `boolean`):

Include the account's replies to other posts.

## `includeReblogs` (type: `boolean`):

Include posts the account re-shared (ReTruths).

## `useApifyProxy` (type: `boolean`):

Route all requests through Apify residential proxy. If off, the Actor tries direct requests and switches to the proxy automatically when blocked.
