## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Dapei Zahav Israel Scraper

Scrape [d.co.il](https://www.d.co.il/) (דפי זהב) into one row per **business**: name, phone, website, address, coordinates, hours.

Works from a category plus optional city, or a pasted `SearchResults`, category, or profile URL. Direct requests return the HTML. No proxy by default.

**Pricing:** $0.005 per listing (`pushData`). Extra `contact-phone` $0.002 and `contact-email` $0.05 when those fields are present.

### Why use this scraper?

- Phone, street, city, coordinates, and opening hours sit on the search card.
- A city is part of the query: `מסעדה בתל אביב`. Nationwide is the category alone.
- The next page is `/h-c{category}-e0-p{offset}-l0/` (40 cards). Page 2 does not repeat page 1.
- The profile adds the business website. The card does not include an email.

### Overview

Built for lead lists on Israeli companies. `restaurant` and `מסעדה` land on the same result set.

### Supported inputs

| Input | What it does |
|---|---|
| `startUrls` | `https://www.d.co.il/SearchResults?query=מסעדה` or `/{customerId}/{categoryId}/` |
| `searchTerms` | Category, e.g. `מסעדה` or `restaurant` |
| `locations` | City, e.g. `תל אביב`. Empty = nationwide |
| `maxItems` | Stop after N unique listings (free plan cap 50) |
| `maxPages` | 40 cards per page |
| `harvestWebsiteEmail` | Fetch the business site when the directory has no inbox |
| `proxy` | Off by default |

### Use cases

| Who | Why |
|---|---|
| Sales / agencies | Israeli phones from a category |
| Researchers | City, street, and hours |
| SEO | Website and coordinates per listing |

### How it works

1. Open `https://www.d.co.il/SearchResults?query={category}` or `{category} ב{city}`.
2. Parse `li[data-card]` (`data-customer-id`).
3. Follow `a[rel=next]` for the next 40 cards.
4. Open the profile for the website.
5. Charge `contact-phone` / `contact-email` after `pushData`.

### Input configuration

| Field | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| `startUrls` | url\[] | one of terms/URLs | search, category page, or profile |
| `searchTerms` | string\[] | one of terms/URLs | e.g. `מסעדה` |
| `locations` | string\[] | no | e.g. `תל אביב` |
| `maxItems` | integer | no | default 50 |
| `maxPages` | integer | no | default 20 |
| `scrapeDetails` | boolean | no | default true |
| `harvestWebsiteEmail` | boolean | no | default true |
| `maxConcurrency` | integer | no | default 5 |
| `proxy` | proxy | no | default off |

#### Example input

```json
{
  "searchTerms": ["מסעדה"],
  "locations": ["תל אביב"],
  "maxItems": 10,
  "harvestWebsiteEmail": false,
  "proxy": { "useApifyProxy": false }
}
```

### Output overview

One JSON object per business. Search cards already carry phone, address, coordinates, and hours.

### Output samples

```json
{
  "listingId": "38384300",
  "name": "אבו גוש המסעדה הלבנונית",
  "phone": "0539438354",
  "website": "https://www.abo-gosh.co.il",
  "street": "כביש השלום 88",
  "city": "אבו גוש",
  "country": "IL",
  "latitude": 31.801433,
  "longitude": 35.121467,
  "profileUrl": "https://www.d.co.il/38384300/30420/",
  "source": "dapei-zahav"
}
```

### FAQ

**Does a city filter work?** Yes. `מסעדה בתל אביב` is a different set from the nationwide category. A handful of chains can appear in both.

**Is there a page 2?** Yes. The next link steps the offset by 40.

**Where is the email?** Not on the card or the profile. Turn on website harvest if you want an inbox from the business site.

**Do I need a proxy?** No. Leave it off unless a run starts getting blocked.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Paste a search or profile link. Examples: <code>https://www.d.co.il/SearchResults?query=מסעדה</code>, a category page <code>/h-c30420-e0-p0-l0/</code>, or a profile <code>/38384300/30420/</code>. The next page is the <code>rel=next</code> link (40 cards).

## `searchTerms` (type: `array`):

What you would type into דפי זהב. Hebrew or the English word the site already maps, e.g. <b>מסעדה</b> or <b>restaurant</b>. One row per category. Each category is searched in every city below.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Optional city. Hebrew cities are joined as <code>{category} ב{city}</code>, e.g. <b>תל אביב</b>. Empty = nationwide.

Stop after this many unique businesses across the whole run. Free plan is capped at 50. Each page has 40 cards.

## `maxPages` (type: `integer`):

Follows the site's next link. 40 cards per page.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many profiles to load at the same time.
