## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Depop Scraper — Search, Shops, Reviews & Sold-Item Tracking

**Scrape Depop listings, shop inventories and seller reviews behind Cloudflare with Apify Unblocker.**

Search by keyword and filters, paste a product/shop/search URL, or pull a seller's reviews. Every row carries the listing essentials (title, price, brand, condition, sizes, colours, pictures) plus the seller profile (followers, items sold, rating, verified status).

### Why Use This Scraper?

- **Three modes in one actor.** Search by keyword + filters, scrape a shop's full inventory, pull a seller's reviews, or paste any Depop product/search/shop URL.
- **Sold items & comps.** Turn on `includeSold` and schedule recurring runs — the actor tracks every listing it sees and emits a `status=sold` row (with last asking price) the moment an item disappears, so you get real resale comps, not just live listings.
- **Incremental mode.** Turn on `incrementalMode` and scheduled runs return only new or changed items, so you pay for fresh data, not re-scraped duplicates.
- **Full listing data per row.** Title, price, original price, discount %, shipping, brand, condition, sizes, colours, category, gender, pictures, description, and seller stats (followers, items sold, reviews rating, verified).
- **12 marketplaces.** US, UK, AU, IE, IT, FR, DE, ES, NL, BE, NZ, CA — each with its local currency.
- **Filters that match the site.** Brand, category, colour, condition, gender, price range, sort order (including most-popular for trending items).
- **Paste URLs straight from the site.** Product, search, shop and category links are recognised and parsed.
- **Cloudflare + PerimeterX bypassed.** Apify Unblocker handles both bot-management layers; no browser, no headless Chrome.

### Overview

Depop is a fashion resale marketplace with tens of millions of listings across 12 countries. The site and its API sit behind Cloudflare Bot Management and PerimeterX, which block datacenter and residential proxies. This actor uses Apify Unblocker to pass both layers and reads the same JSON API the Depop website uses, so it returns structured data without rendering a browser.

It is built for resale analysts tracking competitor inventory, price researchers, and lead-generation teams that need seller profiles next to each listing. Each row is a flat product record with nested `sizes` and `pictures` arrays.

### Supported Inputs

#### URL types

| URL type | Example |
|---|---|
| Product | `https://www.depop.com/products/<slug>/` |
| Shop | `https://www.depop.com/<username>/` |
| Search | `https://www.depop.com/search/?q=nike` |
| Category | `https://www.depop.com/products/?category=sweatshirts` |

#### Search mode

Provide one or more `queries` and optional filters. The actor scrapes the search page, extracts product cards, then enriches each via the by-slug API for full details.

#### Shop mode

Provide a shop URL or username. The actor resolves the seller ID, then walks the shop products API page by page.

#### Reviews mode

Provide a seller username or ID. The actor pulls feedback via the users feedback API, with the role (seller or buyer) selectable.

#### Sold items & comps

Depop does not publish a sold-search endpoint. To get sold comps, turn on `includeSold` and run the actor on a schedule (e.g. every 6–12 hours). The first run seeds the watched universe (every active item it sees). On each subsequent run, any item that has disappeared is emitted with `status=sold`, `priceKind=last_ask`, and its last known asking price. Pair it with `incrementalMode` so you only pay for new, changed, and sold rows — not re-scraped duplicates.

Use a distinct `stateKey` per query or shop if you run multiple schedules, so each tracks its own universe.

### Proxy

Depop blocks datacenter and residential proxies with Cloudflare Bot Management + PerimeterX. This actor defaults to **Apify Unblocker**, which solves the Cloudflare challenge at the proxy layer. Residential and plain datacenter proxies return 403.

### Notes

- Search mode scrapes the search page HTML for product cards (the search API returns 502), then enriches each card via the working by-slug product API.
- Shop mode uses the shop products API (`/presentation/api/v1/shops/:id/products/`), paginated by offset.
- Reviews mode uses the users feedback API (`/presentation/api/v1/users/:id/feedback/`).
- Product URLs fetch the by-slug API for details and the product page HTML for the title/price (the by-slug API omits them).

# Actor input Schema

## `country` (type: `string`):

Which Depop country site to read. Prices come back in that site's currency (us: USD, gb: GBP, au: AUD, ca: CAD, nz: NZD, the EU sites: EUR). Default: us.

## `mode` (type: `string`):

search (default): run the Search words below with the filters further down. url: scrape the Depop links you paste. reviews: collect the reviews left for the shops you list.

## `queries` (type: `array`):

Used when What to scrape is search. One search per line, e.g. carhartt jacket or vintage levis 501. Each search runs separately with the same filters.

## `urls` (type: `array`):

Used when What to scrape is url. Paste product pages (depop.com/products/...), search pages (depop.com/search/?q=..., filters in the link are kept), shop pages (depop.com/<shop name>/) or category pages (depop.com/category/<name>/). Links the actor cannot read are skipped and named in the run log.

## `sellers` (type: `array`):

Used when What to scrape is reviews. A shop name as it appears in depop.com/<shop name>/, or the numeric user ID, one per line.

## `reviewRole` (type: `string`):

seller (default): reviews from people who bought from this shop. buyer: reviews from shops this person bought from.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Total cap across every search, link and shop in the run, e.g. 500. 0 means no cap. Runs on Apify's free plan stop at 100.

## `maxPages` (type: `integer`):

How many result pages to read for each search, shop or review list before moving on. 0 (default) reads until Depop has no more.

## `fetchDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Off (default): rows carry what Depop shows in results. On: the actor also opens every listing for its full description, colours, material and the seller's profile. Billed as one extra event per listing row.

## `conditions` (type: `array`):

Depop condition codes, one per line, e.g. used_excellent. The easiest way to get exact codes: set the filter on depop.com and copy the link into Depop links instead. Empty: any condition.

## `sizes` (type: `array`):

Depop size IDs, one per line, as they appear in a filtered Depop search link. Empty: any size.

## `brands` (type: `array`):

Depop brand IDs, one per line, as they appear in a filtered Depop search link (brands=...). Empty: any brand.

## `colours` (type: `array`):

Depop colour names, one per line, e.g. black or navy, as they appear in a filtered Depop search link. Empty: any colour.

## `categories` (type: `array`):

Depop category IDs or slugs, one per line, e.g. the name in depop.com/category/<name>/. Empty: every category.

## `groups` (type: `array`):

Depop product groups, one per line, e.g. tops, bottoms, shoes. Empty: every group.

## `gender` (type: `string`):

Menswear, womenswear, unisex, or any (default).

## `minPrice` (type: `integer`):

In the marketplace's currency, whole units, e.g. 20. 0 (default) means no lower limit.

## `maxPrice` (type: `integer`):

In the marketplace's currency, whole units, e.g. 150. 0 (default) means no upper limit.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

relevance (default) is Depop's own order; also newest, cheapest first, most expensive first, or most popular. Applies to keyword searches and search links.

## `incrementalMode` (type: `boolean`):

For scheduled runs. On: a listing is written only if this state has not seen it before, or if its price, status, condition, sizes or another tracked field changed. The first run writes everything and saves the state. Off (default): every listing, every run.

## `includeSold` (type: `boolean`):

For scheduled runs. On: listings seen by an earlier run and missing from this one are written once more with status sold and their last price, so you can track what sold. The first run only records what is there.

## `stateKey` (type: `string`):

The state for the two options above is kept in a named key-value store in your account (depop-state-<this name>). Use a different name for each schedule that tracks a different search or shop. Default: depop-state.

## `ignoreFieldsForChanges` (type: `array`):

Only matters with Only new or changed listings. The check compares id, slug, price, originalPrice, currency, status, brandName, conditionName, sizes, colours, isSold and isBoosted. List any of these to ignore, e.g. isBoosted. Empty (default): compare all of them.

## `webhookUrl` (type: `string`):

Optional. Every row is also POSTed as JSON to this URL the moment it is written, e.g. to feed a sheet or an automation. A failed POST is logged and the run carries on. Empty: no webhook.

## `proxy` (type: `object`):

Default: Apify Unblocker. Depop sits behind Cloudflare and PerimeterX, which refuse residential proxies with 403, so leave this as it is unless you have another proxy that gets through both.
