## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## F6S Scraper — Accelerator Calls, Programs & Investor Funds

![How the F6S Scraper works](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/muhamed-didovic/muhamed-didovic.github.io/main/assets/how-it-works-f6s.png)

F6S is where many accelerators, startup contests, grants and funds post their open calls. This actor turns the [F6S](https://www.f6s.com) directory into rows you can sort and filter: one row per program or per fund, with its location, industry focus, deadline, apply link and, if you want it, the details from its profile page.

### What one run gives you

- **Programs or investors.** The programs directory (accelerators, contests, grants, startup events, funds) or the investment-funds directory (funds and angel groups), one per run.
- **Filters that F6S itself applies.** Industry and country are looked up in F6S's own lists and sent with the request, so only matching records come back. Name text and program type go to F6S too; open calls only is checked on each card.
- **Deadlines you can sort.** Each deadline comes as F6S prints it (`by Oct 23`) and as an ISO date (`2026-10-23`) when the text can be read.
- **Profile details on request.** Website, LinkedIn, full description, investment amount, equity, sectors, regions and team size, from each record's F6S profile where it shows them.
- **Specific profiles.** Paste F6S `/about` links to fetch just those, in full.

### Who uses it

Founders who want every open accelerator call in their industry and country before the deadlines pass. Funds and scouts who track which programs run in which sectors. Corporate innovation teams watching the program landscape for partners. Agencies building lists of accelerators and funds with their websites and LinkedIn pages.

### How a run goes

F6S is behind Imperva's Reese84 check. The actor clears it once in a headless browser, then reads the directory over plain HTTP with that session, 12 records per page, until it hits your record cap, your page cap, or the end of the list. With profile details on, it opens each record's profile in parallel batches of six.

### Settings

In the order of the input form:

| Field | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| `entityType` | `programs` | `programs` or `investors` |
| `keyword` | empty | Keep names containing this text |
| `maxItems` | `100` | Record cap; `0` means none |
| `maxPages` | `0` | Directory pages to read, 12 records each; `0` means all |
| `fetchDetails` | `false` | Open each profile for details (paid add-on) |
| `sector` | empty | Industry, e.g. `FinTech` |
| `country` | empty | Country, e.g. `Germany`; for investors, where they invest |
| `programType` | empty | accelerator, fund, startup event, angel group, contest, conference or coworking |
| `deadlineOnly` | `false` | Only records whose card shows a deadline |
| `startUrls` | empty | F6S `/about` links; skips the directory |
| `proxy` | Apify residential | Keep it residential for Reese84 |

#### Sample inputs

Open FinTech accelerator calls in the United States, with profile details:

```json
{
  "entityType": "programs",
  "programType": "accelerator",
  "sector": "FinTech",
  "country": "United States",
  "deadlineOnly": true,
  "fetchDetails": true,
  "maxItems": 50
}
```

Funds and angel groups that invest in Germany:

```json
{
  "entityType": "investors",
  "country": "Germany",
  "maxItems": 100
}
```

Two programs you already know:

```json
{
  "startUrls": [
    "https://www.f6s.com/1752vc-accelerate/about",
    "https://www.f6s.com/cleanhypro-2nd-wave-open-call-oc2/about"
  ]
}
```

### What comes back

`entity_type` says whether a row is a `program` or an `investor`. Both kinds share one set of fields; the ones a row has no value for are `null`, and the profile-only fields (`description`, `website`, `linkedin`, `sectors`, `regions`, `equity_taken`, `team_count`, `classification`) are filled only with `fetchDetails` on or for `startUrls`.

A program with profile details, from a run on 22 Oct 2026:

```json
{
  "entity_type": "program",
  "name": "Accelerate 2026 | F6S",
  "slug": "1752vc-accelerate",
  "url": "https://www.f6s.com/1752vc-accelerate",
  "about_url": "https://www.f6s.com/1752vc-accelerate/about",
  "apply_url": "https://www.f6s.com/1752vc-accelerate/apply",
  "description": "Where traction meets velocity - What is 1752 Accelerate? ...",
  "country": "United States",
  "city": "Los Angeles",
  "location": "Los Angeles, United States",
  "sector": "Climate Tech, Cyber Security, DevOps, Energy, Finance, Gaming, Healthcare",
  "sectors": ["Climate Tech", "Cyber Security", "DevOps", "Energy", "Finance"],
  "regions": ["Europe", "North America", "South America", "Asia"],
  "investment_amount": "$100k",
  "equity_taken": "1-5%",
  "application_deadline": "by Oct 23",
  "application_deadline_iso": "2026-10-23",
  "website": "https://www.1752.vc/accelerate",
  "linkedin": "https://www.linkedin.com/company/1752vc",
  "image": "https://www.f6s.com/content-resource/media/2287919.png",
  "verified": true,
  "team_count": 2,
  "classification": "Accelerators",
  "scraped_at": "2026-10-22T12:03:58.112Z"
}
```

An investor from the same day, directory fields only:

```json
{
  "entity_type": "investor",
  "name": "Lavin Seed Fund Fall 2026",
  "slug": "lavin-seed-fund-fall-2026",
  "url": "https://www.f6s.com/lavin-seed-fund-fall-2026",
  "about_url": "https://www.f6s.com/lavin-seed-fund-fall-2026/about",
  "apply_url": "https://www.f6s.com/lavin-seed-fund-fall-2026/apply",
  "country": "United States",
  "city": "San Diego",
  "location": "San Diego, United States",
  "sector": "Funds Startups in Entrepreneur",
  "investment_amount": "$5,000",
  "application_deadline": "by Oct 31",
  "application_deadline_iso": "2026-10-31",
  "scraped_at": "2026-10-22T12:04:30.811Z"
}
```

#### Field groups

- **Identity:** `entity_type`, `name`, `slug` (stable, good for de-duplication), `url`, `about_url`, `image`, `verified` (F6S's verified badge), `classification`
- **Where and what:** `country`, `city`, `location`, `sector`, `sectors`, `regions`
- **Money:** `investment_amount` (program investment or investor check size, as F6S writes it), `equity_taken`
- **Applying:** `apply_url`, `application_deadline`, `application_deadline_iso`
- **Contact and depth:** `website`, `linkedin`, `description`, `team_count`
- **Run:** `scraped_at`

### Pricing

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Actor start | $0.005 |
| Record written | $0.001 |
| Profile details added | $0.002 per record |

1,000 records cost about $1.01, or about $3.01 with profile details. Runs on Apify's free plan stop at 5 records.

### Questions

**Why did my country or industry filter return fewer records than F6S shows?**
The actor filters twice. F6S filters by its own list when it knows the name, and the actor then keeps a record only if its country or sector text contains what you typed. Write names the way F6S does (United States, Artificial Intelligence). When F6S does not know a name, the run log says so.

**What does "open calls only" check?**
Whether the directory card shows an application deadline. Records whose card shows none are left out.

**Can I get full details without the add-on?**
Yes, for profiles you already know: links in `startUrls` are always fetched in full.

**What happens to a profile link without `/about`?**
It is skipped. Open the profile on F6S and copy the link from its About tab.

### 🤖 For AI Agents & LLM Apps

`memo23/f6s-scraper` returns F6S programs (accelerators, contests, grants, events, funds) or investors (funds, angel groups) as one row each.

Minimal input:

```json
{ "entityType": "programs", "sector": "FinTech", "maxItems": 20 }
```

- Filters: `keyword`, `sector`, `country`, `programType`, `deadlineOnly`; or `startUrls` with F6S `/about` links.
- Key fields: `name`, `slug` (stable ID), `location`, `sector`, `investment_amount`, `application_deadline_iso`, `apply_url`.
- `fetchDetails: true` adds website, LinkedIn and full description from each profile.
- Billing: $0.005 per run, $0.001 per record, $0.002 per record with details. Free plan: 5 records.

# Actor input Schema

## `entityType` (type: `string`):

programs (default): the f6s.com/programs directory, which holds accelerators, contests, grants, startup events and funds. investors: the f6s.com/investment-funds directory of funds and angel groups.

## `keyword` (type: `string`):

Keeps records whose name contains this text, ignoring case, e.g. Techstars. It goes to F6S's own search and is checked again on every record. Empty: no name filter.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Total records to write, e.g. 200. 0 means no cap. Runs on Apify's free plan stop at 5. Default 100.

## `maxPages` (type: `integer`):

F6S shows 12 records per directory page. 0 (default) keeps reading until the directory ends or the record cap is reached.

## `fetchDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Off (default): each row carries what the directory card shows. On: the actor also opens every record's F6S profile for its website, LinkedIn, full description, investment amount, equity, sectors, regions and team size, where the profile shows them. Billed as one extra event per record that gets details, and runs take longer.

## `sector` (type: `string`):

e.g. FinTech or Artificial Intelligence, written as F6S writes it. When F6S knows the name, the actor sends it as F6S's industry filter; in every case it keeps only records whose sector text contains it. Empty: every industry.

## `country` (type: `string`):

e.g. Germany or Singapore, written as F6S writes it (United States, not USA). When F6S knows the name, the actor sends it as F6S's country filter; in every case it keeps only records whose country contains it. With investors, F6S applies it to where they invest. Empty: every country.

## `programType` (type: `string`):

Programs only. One of: accelerator, fund, startup event, angel group, contest (or competition), conference, coworking. A value the actor does not recognise is ignored, and so is grant, which F6S cannot filter on. Empty: every type.

## `deadlineOnly` (type: `boolean`):

On: drops records whose directory card shows no application deadline. Off (default): keeps them all.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

F6S profile links ending in /about, one per line, e.g. https://www.f6s.com/1752vc-accelerate/about. When any are given, the actor skips the directory and its filters and fetches these profiles in full. Links of another shape are skipped.

## `proxy` (type: `object`):

Default: Apify Proxy, residential group when none is picked. F6S sits behind Imperva Reese84; the actor clears it once in a headless browser and then keeps each session on one proxy IP, which residential IPs hold longest.
