## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Paginas Amarillas LATAM Scraper

Scrape Páginas Amarillas across **9 countries** into one row per **business**: name, phone, WhatsApp, email, website, address.

Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, and El Salvador. A keyword plus a country, or a pasted search URL. The results API answers a normal request. No proxy by default.

**Pricing:** $0.015 per listing. The other LATAM actor charges $0.02 per result on the free plan, plus $0.023 when details are on, and $0.015 to start.

### Why use this scraper?

- The search response already carries phone, email, website, WhatsApp, street, and city. 15 cards a page.
- Page 1 of the API (`page=1`) does not repeat page 0.
- A city is `locationWord`. `restaurantes` in `medellin` is a smaller set than the whole country. Paid ads from other cities can still sit at the top.
- $15 per 1,000 listings.

### Overview

This is the Guru Páginas Amarillas network, not the Spain site and not Portugal's pai.pt. Spain stays on `paginasamarillas-es-scraper`. Portugal stays on `paginasamarelas-scraper`.

### Supported inputs

| Input | What it does |
|---|---|
| `startUrls` | `https://www.paginasamarillas.com.co/servicios/restaurantes` |
| `searchTerms` | Keyword, e.g. `restaurantes` |
| `country` | `co`, `ar`, `cl`, `pe`, `ec`, `gt`, `ni`, `pa`, `sv` |
| `locations` | City, e.g. `medellin`. Empty = nationwide |
| `maxItems` | Stop after N unique listings (free plan cap 50) |
| `maxPages` | 15 cards per page |
| `proxy` | Off by default |

### Use cases

| Who | Why |
|---|---|
| Sales / agencies | LATAM phones, WhatsApp, and emails from a category |
| Researchers | City, street, and coordinates |
| Ops | One row per company, JSON or CSV |

### How it works

1. Call `https://www.paginasamarillas.com.co/api/advertisements?searchWord={keyword}&locationWord={city}&page={n}&size=15`.
2. The same path works on the other eight country hosts. Chile is `amarillas.cl`. Ecuador is `paginas-amarillas.com.ec`.
3. Read `results[]`: `mainPhone`, `emails`, `contactMap`, `mainAddress`.
4. Follow `page` until the page is short or the total is reached.
5. `pushData` bills the $0.015 result event.

### Input configuration

| Field | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| `startUrls` | url\[] | one of terms/URLs | search link |
| `searchTerms` | string\[] | one of terms/URLs | e.g. `restaurantes` |
| `country` | string | with a keyword | default `co` |
| `locations` | string\[] | no | e.g. `medellin` |
| `maxItems` | integer | no | default 50 |
| `maxPages` | integer | no | default 20 |
| `proxy` | proxy | no | default off |

#### Example input

```json
{
  "searchTerms": ["restaurantes"],
  "country": "co",
  "locations": ["medellin"],
### FAQ
**Is this the Spain actor?** No. Spain is a different site. This one is the nine-country Latin American network.
**Does a city filter work?** Yes. `medellin` cuts a Colombia restaurant search from about 13,000 rows to about 2,700. The first cards can still be paid ads from other cities.
**Is there a page 2?** Yes. `page=0` is the first 15. `page=1` is the next 15, with no repeat.
**Do I need a proxy?** No. Leave it off unless a run starts getting blocked.
Category or keyword, e.g. <b>restaurantes</b>, <b>abogados</b>, <b>hoteles</b>. One row per keyword.
## `country` (type: `string`):
Which Páginas Amarillas site to search when you did not paste a URL.
Optional city, e.g. <b>medellin</b> or <b>lima</b>. Empty = the whole country. Paid ads from other cities can still appear at the top.
## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):
Stop after this many unique businesses across the whole run. Free plan is capped at 50. Each page has 15 cards.
## `maxPages` (type: `integer`):
15 cards per page. The results API is 0-based: page 0, then page 1.
## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):
How many keyword and city searches to run at the same time.
## `proxy` (type: `object`):
Leave off. The results API answers a normal request.
