from $0.80 / 1,000 products

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Shopify & WooCommerce Product Scraper + Price Change Monitor

**Export every product, variant, price and stock status from any Shopify or WooCommerce store, or schedule it to tell you only what changed.** One Actor, both platforms, detected automatically. No browser, no login, no API keys.

### Two modes

| Mode | What you get | You pay for |
|---|---|---|
| **All products** | The full catalogue: one row per product with every variant, price, compare-at (was) price, stock status, images, tags, vendor and categories. | Each product row |
| **Changes only (monitor)** | Run it on a schedule. Each run compares the catalogue with the previous run and outputs **only** products that are new, removed, cheaper, dearer, out of stock or back in stock, with old and new values and % change. | A tiny fee per product checked, plus each change found |

Most price monitors charge you for every row on every run, even when nothing moved. In **Changes only** mode a quiet day costs almost nothing.

### Use cases

- **Competitor price tracking** for e-commerce brands and agencies: daily alerts when a rival cuts prices or launches a product.
- **Stock and restock alerts**: know when a product sells out or comes back.
- **Catalogue export** for analysis, product research, migrations or feeding a spreadsheet / BI tool.
- **Sale detection**: every row shows `onSale` and the compare-at price, so you can filter discounted items.

Connect the dataset to Slack, email, Google Sheets, Make or Zapier with Apify integrations to get alerts.

### Input

```json
{
  "startUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.allbirds.co.uk" }, { "url": "https://www.example-shop.co.uk/collections/sale" }],
  "mode": "changes",
  "maxProductsPerStore": 1000,
  "monitorName": "competitors"
}
```

- Pass a store's homepage. For Shopify you can pass a collection URL to read just that collection.
- **Changes only:** the first run saves a baseline (no change rows). Schedule the Actor (e.g. daily) with the same `monitorName` and every later run reports changes. Snapshots live in a key-value store called `shop-product-monitor-state` in your own account.

### Output (one row per product, abridged)

```json
{
  "store": "https://www.beardbrand.com",
  "platform": "shopify",
  "title": "Beard Oil Set",
  "url": "https://www.beardbrand.com/products/beard-oil-set",
  "currency": "USD",
  "priceMin": 122.0,
  "priceMax": 162.0,
  "compareAtPriceMax": 216.0,
  "onSale": true,
  "available": true,
  "variantCount": 2,
  "variants": [{ "variantId": "62365517971826", "title": "1.7 fl oz.", "sku": null, "price": 122.0, "compareAtPrice": 166.0, "available": true }],
  "changeType": "price_drop",
  "changes": [{ "field": "priceMin", "old": 139.0, "new": 122.0, "changePercent": -12.23 }],
  "checkedAt": "2026-10-25T11:00:00+00:00"
}
```

`changeType` is one of `new`, `removed`, `price_drop`, `price_rise`, `price_change`, `out_of_stock`, `back_in_stock`, `updated` (and `baseline` / `unchanged` in All products mode). A per-store run summary, including any store that couldn't be read and why, is saved as `OUTPUT` in the run's key-value store.

### How it works and what it respects

- Reads only the **public product feeds** the platforms serve to every visitor: Shopify's `/products.json` and the WooCommerce Store API (`/wp-json/wc/store/v1/products`). No HTML scraping, no checkout, no customer or personal data.
- **Obeys robots.txt** and identifies itself honestly in its user agent. One request at a time per store, with a pause between pages and back-off on rate limits.
- Stores that block automated access are skipped and reported, not forced.

### Limits

- Shopify's public feed serves up to 25,000 products per store (or per collection).
- WooCommerce: per-variation prices and stock for variable products aren't in the public feed; the product's price range and overall stock status are.
- Shopify's feed has no currency field; the Actor reads it from the store's public `/meta.json` where available.
- Headless or custom storefronts that disable these feeds aren't supported.

### Pricing (pay per event)

- **Product** (All products mode): $0.0008 per product, i.e. $0.80 per 1,000 products.
- **Product checked** (Changes only): $0.0001 per product compared, i.e. $0.10 per 1,000.
- **Product change** (Changes only): $0.003 per change reported.

Example: monitoring 5 stores with 500 products each, daily, with ~20 changes a day costs about $0.31/day.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

One URL per store, e.g. https://www.allbirds.co.uk. The platform (Shopify or WooCommerce) is detected automatically. For Shopify you can pass a collection URL (…/collections/sale) to read just that collection.

## `mode` (type: `string`):

'All products' exports the full catalogue (one billable result per product). 'Changes only' compares with the previous run of the same monitor and outputs only new, removed, price-changed or stock-changed products; the first run saves a baseline. Schedule it daily for a price-change feed.

## `maxProductsPerStore` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many products per store. Shopify's public feed serves at most 25,000.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Adds the product description as plain text (up to 2,000 characters).

## `monitorName` (type: `string`):

Snapshots are kept per monitor name and store, in a key-value store named 'shop-product-monitor-state' in your account. Use different names to run separate monitors on the same store.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Not needed for most stores. Enable it if a store rate-limits you.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "startUrls": [
    {
      "url": "https://www.allbirds.co.uk"
    }
  ],
  "mode": "all",
  "maxProductsPerStore": 1000,
  "includeDescription": false,
  "monitorName": "default",
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
