## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU Public Tenders Scraper (TED)

Search and export **EU public procurement notices** (tenders, contract awards, prior information notices) straight from the **official TED API** (Tenders Electronic Daily, Publications Office of the EU). No HTML scraping, no login, no proxies, no personal data: only public procurement notices published by public buyers.

### What you get

For every notice: publication number, publication date, title, buyer name and country, notice type, procedure type, contract nature (works / supplies / services), estimated value and currency, submission deadline, CPV codes and a link to the notice on ted.europa.eu.

### Use cases

- **Bid and tender monitoring**: get alerted to new tenders in your sector and country every day (schedule the Actor).
- **Market research**: which public buyers spend on IT, construction or consulting in Portugal, Spain, Germany...
- **Lead lists for B2B suppliers**: public bodies that buy what you sell (organisations only).
- **Competitive intelligence** on public spending by CPV code and value.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `countries` | Buyer country codes, ISO alpha-3 (PRT, ESP, DEU, FRA...). Empty = all. |
| `cpvCodes` | CPV code prefixes, e.g. `72` for IT services, `45` for construction. |
| `keywords` | Words in the notice title (any match). |
| `publishedFrom` / `publishedTo` | Date range `YYYY-MM-DD` (default: last 7 days). |
| `minValueEur` | Minimum estimated value. |
| `maxResults` | Maximum notices returned (you pay per result). |

Example:

```json
{"countries": ["PRT", "ESP"], "cpvCodes": ["72"], "publishedFrom": "2026-10-01", "maxResults": 500}
```

### Output example

```json
{
  "publicationNumber": "737537-2026",
  "publicationDate": "2026-10-26",
  "title": "Acquisition of digital infrastructure ...",
  "buyerName": "Município de Portimão",
  "buyerCountry": "PRT",
  "noticeType": "can-standard",
  "procedureType": "open",
  "contractNature": ["services"],
  "estimatedValue": 704000,
  "currency": "EUR",
  "cpvCodes": ["72222100"],
  "url": "https://ted.europa.eu/en/notice/-/detail/737537-2026"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event: **you pay per notice returned** (event `result-item`). You only pay for results you get, plus the small platform usage included in the price. Use `maxResults` to cap your spend.

### FAQ

**Is this legal?** Yes. TED is an open-data service of the EU, and this Actor uses its official public API. The data contains public procurement notices of public bodies, not personal data about individuals.

**How fresh is the data?** TED publishes new notices every working day; notices appear in the API shortly after publication.

**Can I run it daily?** Yes: use Apify schedules and a rolling `publishedFrom` date, or integrate via the API, Make, Zapier or n8n.

### Limitations

Fields depend on what the buyer filled in; some notices have no value or deadline (returned as `null`). Titles are in the buyer's original language. Always check the official notice before bidding.

# Actor input Schema

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Buyer country codes such as PRT, ESP, DEU, FRA. Leave empty for all EU countries.

## `buyerCountryOnly` (type: `boolean`):

The TED API also matches notices where any co-buyer is in the country (e.g. joint EU-wide tenders). When on, only notices whose main buyer is in the selected countries are returned (and charged).

## `cpvCodes` (type: `array`):

Common Procurement Vocabulary codes or prefixes, e.g. 72 (IT services) or 45 (construction). Leave empty for all.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Match notices whose title contains any of these words.

## `publishedFrom` (type: `string`):

Date YYYY-MM-DD. Default: 7 days ago (a short, recent window).

## `publishedTo` (type: `string`):

Date YYYY-MM-DD. Default: today.

## `minValueEur` (type: `integer`):

Only notices with an estimated procurement value at or above this amount (in the notice currency).

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of notices to return (you are charged per result).
