## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Swiss Jobs Scraper: jobs.ch + jobup.ch with salaries, workload % and new-job alerts

Get job ads from **jobs.ch and jobup.ch**, Switzerland's two biggest job boards (both run by JobCloud), **in a single run**. Duplicates between the two boards are removed automatically. jobs.ch dominates German-speaking Switzerland and jobup.ch dominates Romandie, so using both gives you national coverage.

Each job comes as clean structured data: title, company, location, **workload percentage (e.g. 80–100%)**, benefits, publication dates and, optionally, the full description, employment type, address and a **CHF salary range**.

About salaries: when the employer publishes one, you get it. When they don't, JobCloud often has its own **salary estimate**, which the websites only show to logged-in users. This Actor returns it too, flagged `salaryIsEstimate: true`. In our tests about half of all ads came with a salary range.

Turn on **monitoring mode** and schedule it daily: each run returns **only jobs you haven't received before**.

### What you can use it for

- **Recruiting and executive search in Switzerland.** Find companies hiring by role, canton and workload.
- **Salary benchmarking.** Compare CHF ranges by role and region. Numbers, not text.
- **Job alerts and job boards.** Push new Swiss ads into Slack, email, Sheets or your own site every morning.
- **Labour-market and part-time studies.** Workload % is a Swiss-specific signal you won't get from international scrapers.

### How to use it

1. Enter one or more **job titles or keywords**, in German, French, Italian or English (`developer`, `Pflege`, `comptable`).
2. Pick **jobs.ch**, **jobup.ch** or both, and optionally a **location** and **posted within (days)**.
3. Set **Maximum jobs** and click **Start**.

Already have a filtered search on jobs.ch or jobup.ch? Paste its URL into **search URLs**.

#### Daily new-job feed

1. Turn on **Only new jobs (monitoring mode)** and pick a **monitoring key** (e.g. `zurich-it`).
2. Add a **schedule** (e.g. daily at 07:00) and an integration (Slack, email, webhook, Google Sheets).

### Output example

```json
{
  "id": "16ee1920-a125-4a9b-b94f-39d3782b7de7",
  "title": "C# Software Developer 100%",
  "companyName": "Example AG",
  "location": "Schlieren",
  "workloadMin": 100,
  "workloadMax": 100,
  "publicationDate": "2026-10-12T08:00:00+02:00",
  "isNew": false,
  "isSponsored": false,
  "benefits": ["company-restaurant", "flexible-working-hours", "training"],
  "url": "https://www.jobup.ch/en/jobs/detail/16ee1920-a125-4a9b-b94f-39d3782b7de7/",
  "site": "jobup.ch",
  "employmentType": "Permanent position",
  "postalCode": "8952",
  "addressCountry": "CH",
  "salaryMin": 100000,
  "salaryMax": 115000,
  "salaryCurrency": "CHF",
  "salaryPeriod": "year",
  "salaryIsEstimate": false,
  "description": "Du denkst Full-Stack ...",
  "searchQuery": "developer",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-28T10:00:00.000Z"
}
```

The salary, address, `employmentType`, `description` and `descriptionHtml` fields need **Include full job descriptions**.

### Pricing

You pay per job saved, plus a small extra per job when full descriptions are enabled. There's no subscription. Set a **maximum cost per run** in the run options and the Actor stops cleanly when it's reached.

### Tips

- jobs.ch shows at most ~500 results per search. Split broad searches by location or keyword to go deeper.
- Searching both boards for the same keyword is cheap: an ad listed on both is saved (and charged) only once per run.

### FAQ

**Is this legal?** The Actor only collects publicly visible job ads and no candidate data. You're responsible for using the data in line with Swiss/EU data-protection law and the sites' terms.

**Something broke?** Open an issue on the Issues tab. The Actor is checked automatically every day.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

One search per entry, in any Swiss language, e.g. "developer", "Pflege", "comptable".

## `sites` (type: `array`):

jobs.ch is strongest in German-speaking Switzerland, jobup.ch in Romandie. Pick both for full coverage. Duplicates are removed automatically.

## `location` (type: `string`):

City, canton or postcode, e.g. "Zürich", "Genève", "Bern". Leave empty for all of Switzerland.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Only ads published in the last N days. 0 = any age.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Paste any search-results URL with the filters you set on the website.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs in total (across all searches and sites).

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Opens each ad for the full description, employment type, address and CHF salary range (the employer's figure or JobCloud's estimate). Charged as an extra event per job.

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Skip jobs returned by earlier runs with the same monitoring key. Schedule it daily for a fresh-jobs feed - you're never charged twice for the same job.

## `monitoringKey` (type: `string`):

Name for the list of already-seen jobs. Use one key per independent feed.

## `maxPagesPerQuery` (type: `integer`):

Safety cap on result pages per search and site (about 20 jobs per page).

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Proxy settings. The default Apify Proxy works well.
