## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Clutch.co Scraper - Agencies, Reviews & Emails

Scrape [Clutch.co](https://clutch.co), the biggest directory of B2B agencies and IT firms. Get every company in a category with rating, review count, hourly rate, minimum project size, team size, location, phone, website, service mix and **contact emails** pulled from the company's own website. Add full client reviews if you want them.

### Who uses it

- **Sales teams and SDRs**: build lead lists of agencies by service, city and size.
- **Agencies**: watch competitors' ratings, rates and reviews.
- **Outsourcing buyers**: shortlist vendors with real data, not ads.
- **Investors and M\&A**: map agency markets by size and region.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Category URLs | Any Clutch listing, filters included. Copy it from your browser. |
| Company profile URLs | Specific companies. |
| Max companies | Cost cap. Default 50. |
| Scrape profile details | Phone, address, founded year, services, description. |
| Find contact emails | Checks the company website and contact page. |
| Include reviews | One dataset item per client review. |

### Output

```json
{
  "type": "company",
  "name": "...",
  "profileUrl": "https://clutch.co/profile/...",
  "rating": 4.9,
  "reviewCount": 32,
  "website": "https://...",
  "email": "hello@...",
  "emails": ["hello@...", "sales@..."],
  "phone": "+1 ...",
  "location": "Austin, TX",
  "city": "Austin",
  "country": "US",
  "hourlyRate": "$50 - $99 / hr",
  "minProjectSize": "$10,000+",
  "employees": "50 - 249",
  "founded": 2012,
  "services": [{ "name": "Web Development", "percent": 60 }],
  "linkedin": "https://www.linkedin.com/company/..."
}
```

Values above are placeholders showing the shape. Missing fields come back as `null`.

### Pricing

Pay per event, no monthly fee:

- **$3.00 per 1,000 companies**
- **$5.00 per 1,000 emails found** (only charged when an email is found)
- **$1.00 per 1,000 reviews**

Set a spending limit and the run stops cleanly at it.

### Tips

- Keep the residential proxy on. Clutch blocks datacenter IPs.
- Filter in Clutch first (location, budget, rate), then paste the URL.

### Is it legal?

It collects only what Clutch shows publicly with no login, plus emails a company publishes on its own website. Use the data in line with GDPR, CAN-SPAM and your local laws.
