## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Italian Trade Fair Exhibitors (SAIE, MECSPE, Exposanità, Cosmofarma, EVOLIO)

Get the exhibitor lists of **five Italian B2B trade fairs** as clean company data in one run. All five run on the same organiser's portal (Senaf, Gruppo Tecniche Nuove):

| Fair | Sector | Exhibitors (Oct 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| **SAIE Bologna** | Construction and building | ~470 |
| **MECSPE** | Manufacturing, machining, automation | ~1,490 |
| **Exposanità** | Healthcare and assistance | ~350 |
| **Cosmofarma** | Pharmacy and health retail | ~360 |
| **EVOLIO Expo** | Olive oil industry | ~150 |

### What you get

For every exhibitor: `fair`, `companyName`, `sector`, `hall`, `stand`, `shortDescription`, `logoUrl` and `detailUrl`.

With **Include details**:

- `description`: the full text;
- `productsAndServices`;
- `booths`: every hall and stand;
- `address`, `city`, `province`;
- `website` and `socialLinks`;
- `email`, but only generic company mailboxes such as info@, sales@ or export@.

```json
{
  "fair": "SAIE Bologna",
  "companyName": "3D TARGET SRL",
  "sector": "Progettazione e Digitalizzazione",
  "hall": "30",
  "stand": "F71",
  "city": "Castenedolo",
  "province": "Brescia",
  "email": "info@3dtarget.it",
  "website": "http://www.3dtarget.it",
  "detailUrl": "https://www.saiebologna.it/portale/it/3d-target-srl?slug=3d-target-srl"
}
```

### Who uses it

- **Suppliers and distributors** prospecting Italian manufacturers, builders, pharmacies and healthcare companies, for example with the keyword "laser", "calcestruzzo" or "BIM".
- **Exhibitors and visitors** planning meetings: who is in which hall and stand.
- **Market researchers** mapping an Italian industry by sector and region.

### How to use it

1. Pick one or more **fairs**, an optional **keyword** and **Maximum results**.
2. Turn on **Include details** for addresses, websites and products. This is slower: one extra page per exhibitor.
3. **Only new exhibitors**: the first run records the current list; each later run returns only newcomers. Lists grow in the weeks before a fair, so run it weekly.
4. Export to JSON, CSV or Excel, or send it to Google Sheets, a CRM, Zapier or Make.

### Privacy by design

- **No phone numbers.** The fair sites hide them behind a click, and this Actor respects that.
- **No personal mailboxes:** only generic company addresses are kept, and anything that looks like a person's mailbox is dropped.
- **No sole proprietorships named after a person**, because that is personal data.
- Email addresses and phone numbers written inside descriptions are replaced with `[rimosso]`.

### Reliability

- Public pages only, one request at a time with a pause in between. No proxies, no logins, no workarounds.
- **Quality checks on every run:** if the catalogue layout changes or records come back incomplete, the run fails with a clear message instead of giving you wrong data.
- Catalogues are emptied between editions. When that happens, the run tells you which fair is currently empty.

### FAQ

**When are the lists complete?** In the weeks before each fair. MECSPE is held in March and SAIE in October. Use "Only new exhibitors" to follow the list as it grows.

**Something broke or a field is missing?** Open an issue on the Actor's Issues tab. Fixes are usually shipped within a few days.

*This Actor is independent and not affiliated with Senaf, Tecniche Nuove or the fairs it covers.*

# Actor input Schema

## `fairs` (type: `array`):

Which fairs to collect. All five run on the same organiser's portal.

## `keyword` (type: `string`):

Keep only exhibitors whose name, sector or short description contains this text (e.g. 'calcestruzzo', 'laser', 'BIM').

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Open each exhibitor's page to add full description, products and services, all halls and stands, address, website, social links and the generic company email (info@, sales@...). Slower: one extra page per exhibitor.

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

Return only exhibitors added since your previous run. The first run returns up to 'Maximum results' and records the whole current list; each later run returns only newcomers. Exhibitor lists grow in the weeks before a fair: schedule it weekly.
