## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## ATS Jobs Feed – Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters & Recruitee Jobs API

**ATS Jobs Feed** gives you every open job posted by the companies you choose, in **one clean, normalized JSON / CSV / Excel feed**. Paste careers-page URLs like `boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`, `jobs.lever.co/spotify` or `jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp`. The Actor detects the applicant tracking system (ATS), calls that ATS's **official public job-board API**, and returns the jobs in a single schema with title, department, location, remote flag, employment type, dates, apply link, salary range (when published) and an optional plain-text description.

No browser, no proxies, no login, no fragile HTML scraping. Runs are fast and cheap, and the output is stable.

### What can I use ATS Jobs Feed for?

- **Job alerts and job boards:** run it on a schedule with *Only new jobs since last run* and send new openings to Slack, email, Airtable or your own niche job board.
- **Sales and recruiting intelligence:** hiring is a buying signal. Track which target accounts are hiring for "data engineer", "security" or "RevOps".
- **Competitor and market research:** see team growth, new locations, remote policy and salary ranges across companies.
- **Talent sourcing and career pages:** aggregate jobs from portfolio companies (VCs) or partner networks into one feed.
- **Datasets for analysis and AI:** clean job titles, departments and descriptions for LLM pipelines, labour-market analysis or salary benchmarks.

### Supported applicant tracking systems

| ATS | Careers URL formats detected | Public API used | Salary |
|---|---|---|---|
| Greenhouse | `boards.greenhouse.io/{slug}`, `job-boards.greenhouse.io/{slug}`, `...embed/job_board?for={slug}` | `boards-api.greenhouse.io/v1/boards/{slug}/jobs` | – |
| Lever | `jobs.lever.co/{slug}`, `jobs.eu.lever.co/{slug}` | `api.lever.co/v0/postings/{slug}` | ✅ if published |
| Ashby | `jobs.ashbyhq.com/{slug}` | `api.ashbyhq.com/posting-api/job-board/{slug}?includeCompensation=true` | ✅ if published |
| Workable | `apply.workable.com/{slug}`, `{slug}.workable.com` | `apply.workable.com/api/v1/widget/accounts/{slug}` | – |
| SmartRecruiters | `careers.smartrecruiters.com/{Slug}`, `jobs.smartrecruiters.com/{Slug}` | `api.smartrecruiters.com/v1/companies/{Slug}/postings` | – |
| Recruitee | `{slug}.recruitee.com` | `{slug}.recruitee.com/api/offers/` | ✅ if published |

A company whose careers page sits on its own domain (e.g. `stripe.com/jobs`) still works when you know its ATS board name. Give `{ "ats": "greenhouse", "slug": "stripe" }`. The slug is usually visible in the "Apply" link.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `companies` (required) | Careers URLs, `ats:slug` strings, or `{ "ats", "slug", "name" }` objects |
| `keywords` | Keep jobs whose title contains any of these words |
| `excludeKeywords` | Drop jobs whose title contains any of these words |
| `locations` | Keep jobs whose location contains any of these values (`remote` also matches remote-flagged jobs) |
| `departments` | Keep jobs whose department or team contains any of these values |
| `remoteOnly` | Only remote jobs |
| `includeDescription` | Add the full description as plain text (HTML stripped, e-mails and phone numbers removed) |
| `maxJobsPerCompany` | Cap on jobs output per company (0 = unlimited) |
| `onlyNewSinceLastRun` | Output only jobs not returned by a previous run with the same companies and filters |
| `stateKey` | Optional custom name for the "seen jobs" record |
| `maxConcurrency` | Boards fetched in parallel (1–5) |

#### Input example

```json
{
  "companies": [
    "https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe",
    "https://jobs.lever.co/spotify",
    "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp",
    "https://apply.workable.com/huggingface/",
    "https://careers.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup",
    "https://bunq.recruitee.com",
    { "ats": "greenhouse", "slug": "airbnb", "name": "Airbnb" }
  ],
  "keywords": ["engineer", "data"],
  "locations": ["New York", "London", "remote"],
  "remoteOnly": false,
  "includeDescription": true,
  "maxJobsPerCompany": 100,
  "onlyNewSinceLastRun": true
}
```

### Output

Every job uses the same schema, whatever ATS it came from. Missing values are `null`.

```json
{
  "id": "ashby:ramp:34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245",
  "ats": "ashby",
  "company": "ramp",
  "companySlug": "ramp",
  "title": "Security Engineer, Cloud",
  "department": "Engineering",
  "team": "Backend",
  "location": "New York, NY (HQ) / Remote (Canada) / Remote (US) / Miami, FL",
  "isRemote": true,
  "workplaceType": "Hybrid",
  "employmentType": "FullTime",
  "postedAt": "2026-04-07T17:12:35.753Z",
  "updatedAt": null,
  "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245/application",
  "salaryMin": 211400,
  "salaryMax": 290600,
  "salaryCurrency": "USD",
  "salaryInterval": "1 YEAR",
  "descriptionText": "ABOUT RAMP\n\nRamp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams...",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-16T04:24:57.907Z"
}
```

You can download the dataset as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or RSS, or read it through the Apify API. A run summary is saved in the key-value store record `SUMMARY`. It lists each company's status, fetched, matched and pushed counts, and any error, such as a wrong slug.

### Pricing

This Actor uses **pay-per-event** pricing, so you pay only for results:

- **$0.002 per job returned** ($2 per 1,000 jobs), plus the small standard Apify Actor start fee.
- Filtered-out jobs, already-seen jobs (in "only new" mode) and failed companies cost nothing.
- Set **Maximum cost per run** in the run options and the Actor stops cleanly when it reaches that budget.

Example: tracking 30 companies daily with "only new since last run" typically costs a few cents per day.

### FAQ

**How do I find a company's slug?**
Open the company's careers page and click any job. The URL shows the ATS and the slug, e.g. `jobs.lever.co/`**`spotify`**`/...` or `boards.greenhouse.io/`**`stripe`**`/jobs/...`. Paste that URL directly into the input.

**How does "Only new jobs since last run" work?**
Job IDs that were returned are stored in a named key-value store, `ats-jobs-feed-state`, under a key derived from your companies and filters. The next run returns only jobs that weren't returned before. The first run returns everything. If a company fails in a run, its history is kept. Jobs that were cut by `maxJobsPerCompany` or by the budget are *not* marked as seen, so a later run will deliver them.

**Why did a company return 0 jobs or an error?**
The slug is probably wrong, or the company has moved to another ATS. Check the `SUMMARY` record. SmartRecruiters identifiers are case-sensitive (`BoschGroup`, not `boschgroup`).

**Is salary always available?**
No. Salary appears only where the employer publishes it through the API: Ashby compensation, Lever `salaryRange` and Recruitee salary. Greenhouse, Workable and SmartRecruiters list endpoints don't expose salary.

**Do you return recruiter names or e-mails?**
No. Recruiter, hiring-manager and mailbox fields are dropped, and e-mail addresses and phone numbers are removed from descriptions.

**Can I run it on a schedule or connect it to other tools?**
Yes. Use Apify Schedules (for example, daily) together with integrations such as webhooks, Zapier, Make, Slack or Google Sheets, or the Apify API.

### Legal and ethical note

ATS Jobs Feed reads only **public job postings** through the **official public job-board endpoints** that the ATS vendors provide for publishing jobs on careers sites (Greenhouse Job Board API, Lever Postings API, Ashby Job Postings API, Workable jobs widget, SmartRecruiters Posting API, Recruitee Careers Site API). It needs no login, bypasses no access control, and collects no personal data. Requests are polite: at most 5 boards are fetched in parallel, with retries and exponential backoff. You are responsible for using the data in line with each employer's terms and applicable law.

### Limitations

- Only the six ATS listed above are supported. Workday, iCIMS, Taleo, BambooHR, Personio and other systems are not yet supported.
- When filters or "only new" are on, large SmartRecruiters boards are paged in full (up to 10,000 postings per company) so the filters can be applied. With `includeDescription`, SmartRecruiters makes one extra request per output job.
- Some APIs don't provide a company display name (Lever, Ashby). Set `"name"` in the company object to override it.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

One entry per company. Accepted forms:<br>• Careers URL: <code>https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe</code>, <code>https://jobs.lever.co/spotify</code>, <code>https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp</code>, <code>https://apply.workable.com/huggingface</code>, <code>https://careers.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup</code>, <code>https://bunq.recruitee.com</code><br>• Shorthand string: <code>greenhouse:stripe</code><br>• Object (JSON editor): <code>{ "ats": "lever", "slug": "spotify", "name": "Spotify" }</code><br>Supported ATS: greenhouse, lever, ashby, workable, smartrecruiters, recruitee. SmartRecruiters identifiers are case-sensitive.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose title contains at least one of these words (case-insensitive). Leave empty to keep all titles.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these words (case-insensitive), e.g. "intern" or "senior".

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose location text contains one of these values (case-insensitive), e.g. "London", "Germany", "US". The value "remote" also matches jobs flagged as remote.

## `departments` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose department or team contains one of these values (case-insensitive).

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs flagged as remote by the ATS or whose location mentions "remote".

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Add the full job description converted from HTML to plain text (descriptionText). Makes the dataset larger; for SmartRecruiters it adds one extra request per matched job.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of jobs to output per company after filtering. 0 = no limit.

## `onlyNewSinceLastRun` (type: `boolean`):

Output only jobs not seen in a previous run with the same companies + filters. Seen job IDs are stored in the named key-value store "ats-jobs-feed-state". Ideal for scheduled runs / alerts. The first run outputs everything.

## `stateKey` (type: `string`):

Optional custom key for the "only new" state record (letters, digits, - \_ . ! ' ( ) ). By default a key is derived from the companies + filters, so changing the input starts a fresh history.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many company boards are fetched in parallel (1–5). Kept low to be polite to the public APIs.
