### Honest limits

- **Weibo shows visitors only the first page of each search and timeline.** A keyword gives up to about 30 posts per run (the mixed, latest and hot tabs combined) and a user's feed gives their latest 10 or so posts. Schedule the run (for example every hour) to build a full picture over time. Comments of a post go deeper: about 300 of the most popular or 200 of the newest per post.
- **Bilibili shows visitors only the top 3 comments of a video.** This Actor adds the replies under those comments and then the video's danmaku (the bullet comments shown over the video, newest first, often 1,000 or more per video).
- **Douban shows visitors only the most popular short comments (usually 100 to 200 per title) and roughly the first 40 reviews.** Sorting short comments by newest, user pages and group discussions need a login and are not included. Douban search covers movies and TV together; `doubanType` picks which you keep.
- Bilibili's top-100 ranking needs a signed-in browser and is not offered; the popular, weekly and must-see lists are.
- Text is kept in the original Chinese. Translation and sentiment scores are not included yet.
- Counts are what each site shows at the moment of the run. Weibo rounds large follower counts (2733.7万 becomes 27337000).

### FAQ

**Do I need a Weibo, Bilibili or Douban account or cookies?** No. The Actor reads the same public data a visitor sees in a browser, using the anonymous visitor session each site gives every new visitor. It never logs in and never solves captchas.

**How fast is it?** The prefilled example finishes in about 5 to 10 seconds. A search with comments usually takes under a minute.

**Can I monitor a brand over time?** Yes. Save a search as a task and schedule it hourly or daily, with `dateFrom` set to the schedule period so each run returns only new items.

**Is this affiliated with Sina Weibo, Bilibili or Douban?** No. This is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Sina Weibo, Bilibili or Douban. All trademarks belong to their owners.

**Is it legal to collect this data?** The Actor collects only publicly visible data and sends polite request rates. Posts and comments include public usernames, which can be personal data. If you process them, China's Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) and, for people in the EU or UK, the GDPR may apply: have a lawful purpose, keep only what you need, do not profile private individuals, and respect each site's terms.
