## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Play Reviews Scraper API | $0.10 per 1,000 reviews

A **fast, cheap Google Play Store reviews scraper** for any Android app, such as **Spotify, Duolingo, TikTok, WhatsApp, Uber or your competitor's app**. It costs **$0.10 per 1,000 reviews** and needs no proxy, login or API key.

For each review you get the star rating, full text, date, thumbs-up count, the app version reviewed, and the **developer's reply** with its date.

### What it can do

- Scrape one or many apps by package ID (`com.spotify.music`) or Play Store URL
- **Star filter:** `[1, 2]` returns negative reviews only
- **Date filter:** `sinceDate: "2026-10-01"` returns only recent reviews and stops early to keep runs cheap
- **Monitor mode:** only reviews you haven't seen before, for scheduled runs
- Sort by newest, most relevant or rating
- Any country and language (`country: "gb"`, `language: "de"`)

### Use cases

- **App developers and PMs:** catch bug reports after a release by filtering on `appVersion`.
- **Competitor research:** find what users hate about rival apps and build that.
- **ASO and marketing agencies:** track sentiment and developer response rates across clients.
- **Sentiment analysis and AI:** large, clean review datasets for LLMs, classifiers and dashboards.
- **Investors and analysts:** track user sentiment trends for public and private apps.

### Pricing

Pay per result: **$0.10 per 1,000 reviews** ($0.0001 each). There's no monthly rental, and filtered-out reviews are free.

| Job | Reviews | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Latest 1,000 reviews of Spotify | 1,000 | $0.10 |
| 10,000 reviews across 5 competitors | 10,000 | $1.00 |
| Daily new-review monitor, 10 apps | ~500/day | ~$1.50/month |

### Integrations: API, Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets

- **API:** call `https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/moneyreset~google-play-app-reviews-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_TOKEN` with your input as JSON and get results back in one request.
- **No-code:** use the official Apify apps for **Make**, **Zapier** and **n8n** to send results to Google Sheets, Airtable, Slack, HubSpot or email.
- **Schedules:** use Apify Schedules to run it daily or weekly, and add a webhook to get pinged when it finishes.
- **Export:** JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or RSS from the dataset tab.
- **AI agents:** works through the Apify MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT and other agents can call it as a tool.

### FAQ

**Do I need a proxy or API key?** No.
**How many reviews can I get?** Thousands per app. Set `maxReviewsPerApp` high.
**How does monitor mode work?** It remembers the review IDs it has seen in a named key-value store in your account. Use `stateKey` to keep separate monitors.
**Is it legal?** It reads publicly visible reviews with polite delays and no login. Google's terms restrict some automated access, so check that your use fits the terms and laws that apply to you. Reviewer names and profile photos are never collected or output. This isn't legal advice.
**Something broke?** Open an issue. We'll take a look.

# Actor input Schema

## `apps` (type: `array`):

Google Play app IDs or URLs, e.g. com.spotify.music or https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music

## `maxReviewsPerApp` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many reviews per app.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Review order.

## `ratings` (type: `array`):

e.g. \[1,2] for negative reviews only. Empty = all.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Two-letter language code (hl), e.g. en, de, es.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Two-letter country code (gl), e.g. us, gb, in.

## `skipEmptyReviews` (type: `boolean`):

Drop reviews with no written text (not charged).

## `delayMs` (type: `integer`):

Polite delay between requests.

## `sinceDate` (type: `string`):

YYYY-MM-DD. Keep only reviews posted on or after this date. With 'newest' sort it stops paging early, so it's cheap.

## `onlyNewSinceLastRun` (type: `boolean`):

Remembers review IDs between runs and outputs only reviews not seen before. First run outputs everything. Ideal for daily/weekly scheduled monitoring.

## `stateKey` (type: `string`):

Use different names to keep separate 'seen reviews' memories for different schedules.
