## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Labeloo Label PDF Renderer

Turn structured label data into print-ready US Letter PDFs across 13 common
rectangular address, shipping, return-address, full-sheet, half-sheet, and
name-badge stock families.

Labeloo supports four label layouts:

- **Address**: recipient, street, city, state, postal code, and country
- **Name**: a name plus role, team, or organization
- **Email**: a name plus email address
- **Custom**: up to five lines of free-form text

### Input

Add up to 1,000 labels in the `labels` array. The smallest address example is:

```json
{
  "labels": [
    {
      "type": "address",
      "name": "Alex Rivera",
      "address1": "123 Splash Lane",
      "city": "Fort Worth",
      "state": "TX",
      "postal": "76102"
    }
  ]
}
```

Use `template` to choose a stock ID from the templates endpoint and `startSlot`
to reuse a partially used sheet. Turn on `proofGrid` to print an alignment test
before using label stock. Printer offsets can correct placement by up to 0.25
inches in either direction.

### Output

Every successful run stores:

- `OUTPUT`: the downloadable PDF in the run's key-value store
- one dataset item with the filename, label count, page count, warnings, and PDF URL

### Pricing

This Actor uses pay-per-event pricing based on generated PDF pages. Capacity
depends on the selected stock and ranges from 1 to 80 labels per page. The run
screen shows the maximum cost before execution, and Apify enforces the spending
limit.

### Privacy

Input label data is sent to the private Labeloo rendering service only to generate the requested PDF. It is not used for advertising or model training. Actor run storage follows the retention controls on your Apify account.

Labeloo is produced by [Wiplash.ai](https://wiplash.ai). The free local-first label editor is available at [labs.wiplash.ai/labeloo](https://labs.wiplash.ai/labeloo/).

# Actor input Schema

## `template` (type: `string`):

Choose the physical sheet layout used by the generated PDF.

## `labels` (type: `array`):

Each item can be an address, name, email, or custom label. Use the type field to select its layout.

## `startSlot` (type: `integer`):

Skip used labels on the first sheet. Position 1 starts at the top-left label.

## `proofGrid` (type: `boolean`):

Draw label boundaries for a plain-paper alignment test.

## `xOffsetInches` (type: `number`):

Fine-tune horizontal placement in inches.

## `yOffsetInches` (type: `number`):

Fine-tune vertical placement in inches.

## `filename` (type: `string`):

Name used for the downloadable PDF.

  ],
  "startSlot": 1,
  "proofGrid": false,
  "xOffsetInches": 0,
  "yOffsetInches": 0,
  "filename": "labeloo-labels.pdf"
}
```
# Actor output Schema
## `pdf` (type: `string`):
Download the generated Avery-compatible PDF.
## `results` (type: `string`):
Filename, label count, page count, warnings, and PDF URL.
# API
You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.
## JavaScript example
```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';

// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});

// Prepare Actor input
const input = {};

// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("monolithdread/labeloo-label-renderer").call(input);

// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
    console.dir(item);
});
