## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## PR TIMES Press Release Scraper (Japan)

Collects Japanese press releases from **[PR TIMES](https://prtimes.jp)** — Japan's largest press-release distribution platform (100,000+ companies) — and returns them as clean, structured JSON. Built for media monitoring, competitor tracking, PR analytics and **LLM / RAG datasets in Japanese**.

### What you get

For each press release:

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `title` | Headline |
| `company`, `companyId` | Publishing company and its PR TIMES ID |
| `publishedAt`, `modifiedAt` | ISO 8601 timestamps (JST source) |
| `category` | PR TIMES category (e.g. イベント, 商品サービス) |
| `description` | Meta description |
| `bodyText`, `bodyLength` | Full body text, paragraphs joined by newlines — ready to embed or summarize |
| `images`, `ogImage`, `thumbnail` | Image URLs |
| `url`, `releaseId`, `source` | Canonical URL, release ID and which input produced it |

### Input

- **Keywords** — e.g. `生成AI`, `EC`, `SaaS`. Returns the latest ~40 releases per keyword.
- **Company IDs** — the number in `https://prtimes.jp/main/html/searchrlp/company_id/XXXX`. Paginates through the company's whole archive (newest first), so you can pull a competitor's full release history.
- **Release URLs** — direct URLs if you already have them.
- **Published after** — stop at releases older than this date (works best with Company IDs).
- **Fetch full body** — turn off to only list title/URL/company/date (5× cheaper).

### Pricing (pay per event)

You pay only for results:

- **Press release (full body)** — one release with body text, category, images and metadata.
- **Press release (listing only)** — title, URL, company and date only.

No subscription; the Apify free plan is enough to try it.

### Use cases

- **Competitor monitoring** — schedule the Actor daily with your competitors' company IDs and push new releases to Slack / Notion via Apify integrations.
- **Media & PR analytics** — count releases per category / company over time.
- **Japanese LLM datasets** — body text is normalized (no navigation, no scripts) so it drops straight into RAG pipelines or fine-tuning corpora.
- **Lead generation** — find companies announcing funding, new offices or product launches in your niche.

### Example output

```json
{
  "title": "【虎ノ門ヒルズ×PR TIMES】一次情報で街の活性化を図る、新コラボ始動",
  "company": "株式会社PR TIMES",
  "companyId": 112,
  "publishedAt": "2026-09-06T23:00:00.000Z",
  "category": "イベント",
  "bodyText": "9月7日開始、200面以上に毎日掲出…",
  "bodyLength": 4567,
  "images": ["https://prcdn.freetls.fastly.net/release_image/112/1698/....png"],
  "url": "https://prtimes.jp/main/html/rd/p/000001698.000000112.html"
}
```

### Notes

- Only publicly available pages are accessed, at low concurrency (default 4). Please respect PR TIMES' terms and each company's copyright when reusing the content.
- Keyword search returns the latest ~40 results by design of the site; use company IDs for full archives.
- Japanese-language support and other Japanese data sources (Qiita/Zenn tech articles, e-Stat statistics) are available from the same developer.
