## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Old Navy Product Scraper

Collects product details from Old Navy (Gap Inc.) product pages. For each product you get the name, brand, colour, price range, availability, rating and every variant SKU. Accepts full product URLs or bare product IDs (PIDs).

### Input

| Field | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `product_urls` | `["787320002","723227212"]` | List of Old Navy product URLs or bare PIDs. |
| `base_host` | `oldnavy.gap.com` | Gap Inc. brand host used to build URLs from bare PIDs (Old Navy / Gap / Banana Republic / Athleta). Ignored for full URLs. |
| `limit` | `50` | Max products to fetch (1–200). |
| Proxy configuration | Optional | Optional. Enable a US-based proxy for the most reliable results. |

### Output

Each record describes one product:

```json
{
    "product_id": "787320002",
    "name": "Crew-Neck Shaker-Stitch Sweater",
    "brand": "Old Navy",
    "color": "Cherry Birch",
    "description": "crew neck long raglan sleeves pullover style rib-knit trim",
    "price_min": 24.97,
    "price_max": 24.97,
    "currency": "USD",
    "availability": "OutOfStock",
    "variant_count": 8,
    "skus": ["7873200020004", "7873200020001"],
    "rating_value": 4.8,
    "rating_count": 1108,
    "image": "https://oldnavy.gap.com/webcontent/0060/169/078/cn60169078.jpg",
    "images": ["https://oldnavy.gap.com/webcontent/0060/169/078/cn60169078.jpg"],
    "url": "https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=787320002",
    "raw": { ... }
}
```

The complete product object (all offers/variants) is preserved in `raw`.

### Notes

- Runs with empty input (defaults to two sample Old Navy PIDs).
- Enable a US-based proxy for the most reliable results.
- Gap-family sites (Gap, Banana Republic, Athleta) share the same platform; Old Navy is the tested default. Prices and availability change frequently; treat results as a point-in-time snapshot and use responsibly under the site's terms of use.

# Actor input Schema

## `product_urls` (type: `array`):

Old Navy product detail URLs (e.g. https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=787320002) or bare product IDs (e.g. 787320002). Bare PIDs are resolved against the selected brand host.

## `base_host` (type: `string`):

Gap Inc. brand host used to build URLs from bare PIDs. All brands share the same platform; Old Navy is the tested default. Ignored for full URLs.

## `limit` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of products (input URLs/PIDs) to fetch.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Proxy settings for the run. Enable a US-based proxy for the most reliable results, especially for sites that limit non-US or datacenter traffic. Optional — leave off to run directly.
