## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Petitesannonces.ch Scraper

Collect structured classified-ad listings from [Petitesannonces.ch](https://www.petitesannonces.ch) — the free classifieds site for French-speaking Switzerland (cars, real estate, jobs, electronics, and more) — as clean JSON/CSV rows instead of browser tabs.

### What it does

- Searches by keyword, category, canton, or city, or fetches specific listing URLs directly.
- Returns title, price, full description, category/subcategory, location, publish date, seller name and profile link, and every photo at full size.
- Decodes the seller's phone number, which the site already sends to every anonymous visitor in the page itself (lightly obscured, not login-gated) — no account or sign-in needed anywhere in this Actor.

### Example input

```json
{
    "searchQueries": ["velo"],
    "canton": "VD",
    "maxResults": 20
}
```

### Example output

```json
{
    "listingId": "8781194",
    "listingUrl": "https://www.petitesannonces.ch/a/8781194",
    "title": "Spacieux 3,5 pièces de 85 m2 Près de Bienne en campagne",
    "category": "Immobilier",
    "subcategory": "Location",
    "description": "Grand 3.5 à Ipsach proche de Bienne CHF 1'550.- charges comprises...",
    "price": "1'550.-",
    "city": "2563 Ipsach (BE)",
    "referenceNumber": "8781194",
    "publishedDate": "29.10.2026",
    "adType": "Prioritaire",
    "sellerName": "Nini888",
    "sellerProfileUrl": "https://www.petitesannonces.ch/m/1809112",
    "phone": "0792276772",
    "images": ["https://www.petitesannonces.ch/i/l/194/87816ae396a5ae6504.jpg"]
}
```

This is real output from an actual run, not a mock.

### Pricing

Charged per listing returned, plus a small flat fee per run. No browser or media processing involved, so cost per run stays low regardless of volume.

### Limitations

- Email contact is a "reply by email" link on the site itself, not a visible address — this Actor doesn't fabricate one.
- Some fields (price, photos) are only present when the seller filled them in; expect `null` rather than a guess.
- Pagination follows the site's own page count; very broad searches can span over a hundred pages — set `maxResults` to the volume you actually need.

### FAQ

**Does this need a Petitesannonces.ch account?** No — everything returned is visible to any anonymous visitor.

**Can I get listings from a specific city instead of a keyword?** Yes — set `categoryId` and/or `city`/`canton` with no `searchQueries` to browse instead of search.

**Why is `phone` sometimes null?** Not every ad includes a phone number on the page; this Actor only returns what the seller actually published.

### Responsible use

This Actor reads only publicly-visible listing pages — no login, no account area, no private messaging. Use the data in line with Petitesannonces.ch's own terms of use, and don't use seller contact details for anything other than legitimate inquiries about the ad itself.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

One or more keywords to search for (French). Leave empty to just browse a category.

## `listingUrls` (type: `array`):

Specific ad URLs to fetch directly, e.g. https://www.petitesannonces.ch/a/8782830 - skips search entirely.

## `categoryId` (type: `integer`):

Limit results to one category. See the README for the full id list (e.g. 14 = Automobiles, 27 = Immobilier, 25 = Emploi).

## `canton` (type: `string`):

Two-letter Swiss canton code to filter by, e.g. VD, GE, BE, VS, FR, NE, JU.

## `city` (type: `string`):

City name to filter by, e.g. Lausanne, Genève, Fribourg.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of listings to return. Default is 5 for a free, quick test.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

This site has no bot-detection of its own, so a proxy isn't required - use this only if you want IP diversity or are running a very large job.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "searchQueries": [
    "velo"
  ],
  "listingUrls": [],
  "maxResults": 5
}
```
