## FINRA BrokerCheck Scraper

Search publicly available FINRA BrokerCheck records for individual brokers and brokerage firms. Supply names or public CRD numbers and receive structured, AI-friendly records that link back to the official BrokerCheck summary pages.

Use this actor for due diligence, compliance research, recruitment verification, and market research. It does **not** provide investment advice, determine suitability, or replace a qualified compliance review.

### What it returns

Each dataset item contains the public record type, CRD number when available, name, registration-status text, current firm name, disclosure count when supplied by BrokerCheck, and official profile URL. Optional profile fetching adds only the public page title and a short visible-text preview.

### Input

- `searchTerms` — one broker/firm name or public CRD number per line. Do not supply SSNs, birth dates, account data, or any other sensitive personal information.
- `recordType` — `individual`, `firm`, or `both`.
- `maxResultsPerSearch` — 1–50, defaults to 10.
- `includeProfilePage` — defaults to `false`; fetches public summary pages only when enabled.
- `requestDelayMs` — 500–10,000 ms; defaults to 1,200 ms to keep public requests paced conservatively.

BrokerCheck is a public resource, but this actor intentionally uses sequential requests, a configurable delay, tight caps, retries for temporary errors, and no login or access-control bypassing.
