Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Shopify Store Scraper — Products, Prices & Stock

**Shopify Store Scraper** pulls a Shopify store's entire catalog — product name, variant, price,
compare-at price, currency, stock status, SKU, vendor, product type and URL — straight from the
store's public `/products.json` feed.

No login, no API key, no browser, no proxy, and no product-page crawling: Shopify exposes the same
machine-readable catalog feed its own storefront uses, so runs are fast and reliable.

Works on any Shopify store worldwide — fashion, beauty, perfume, electronics, supplements, home goods —
including stores in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.

### What data do you get?

One dataset item per **variant**:

| Field | Example | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| `name` | `Lattafa Khamrah 100ml` | Product title |
| `variant` | `100ml` | Variant label |
| `price` | `12.00` | Current price |
| `compareAtPrice` | `15.00` | Original price before discount |
| `currency` | `BHD` | Store's presentment currency |
| `inStock` | `true` | Availability flag |
| `sku` | `KH-100` | Merchant SKU when published |
| `productType` | `Perfume` | Shopify product type |
| `vendor` | `Lattafa` | Brand / vendor |
| `updatedAt` | `2026-10-20T14:03:01+03:00` | Last product update |
| `store` | `https://store.com` | Source store |
| `url` | `https://store.com/products/khamrah-100ml` | Canonical product URL |

### How do I use it?

```json
{
  "stores": ["https://store.com"],
  "maxProducts": 500,
  "includeSoldOut": true,
  "requestDelaySecs": 0.5
}
```

- **stores** — Shopify store URLs (required). Homepages or collection URLs
  (`/collections/sale`) both work.
- **maxProducts** — cap per store; leave empty for the whole catalog.
- **includeSoldOut** — keep out-of-stock variants (useful for stock-out detection).
- **requestDelaySecs** — politeness delay between paginated requests.

A 1,200-product store typically finishes in under a minute.

### Use cases

- **Competitor price monitoring** — schedule daily runs and diff the dataset.
- **Price-drop detection** — `compareAtPrice` vs `price` exposes live discounts.
- **Stock-out alerts** — `inStock: false` on a competitor's bestseller is an opportunity.
- **Catalog and assortment research** — vendors, product types and price bands in one table.
- **Repricing and feed automation** — push results into Sheets, a PIM or your own rules.

### Frequently asked questions

**Does this Actor need an API key or a Shopify app?**
No. It reads the store's public `/products.json` endpoint, which Shopify exposes by default.

**How is the currency determined?**
From the store's `/cart.js`, which reports the shop's presentment currency (SAR, AED, BHD, KWD, QAR,
OMR, USD…). No conversion is applied — you always see the price the store actually charges.

**What if a store disabled /products.json?**
A minority of stores do, or are password-protected. The Actor logs a clear warning and skips that
store instead of failing the whole run.

**Can I scrape a specific collection instead of the whole store?**
Yes — pass a collection URL such as `https://store.com/collections/sale`.

**How large can a catalog be?**
Unlimited in principle; 10,000+ product stores take a few minutes. Use `maxProducts` for a first pass.

**Is it legal to scrape public storefronts?**
The Actor reads publicly available product data only, at a polite request rate. You are responsible
for complying with the target site's terms and local law when using the data.

### Limitations

- The store must be on Shopify and have `/products.json` enabled (the default).
- Prices are strings exactly as Shopify returns them — parse them as decimals.
- No images or long descriptions: the schema is built for price and stock intelligence.

### Pricing

Free to run while the Actor builds its public track record. Commercial and high-volume use:
