## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Greenhouse Jobs Scraper

Get open job listings from any company's Greenhouse job board: title, location, department, offices, a link to apply and the dates it was posted and updated. Filter by keyword, and run it daily to catch new openings.

- **Boards:** any public Greenhouse board, up to 50 per run.
- **Filters:** keywords in the title, department or location.
- **Monitoring:** turn on "Only new jobs" and schedule a daily run. Each run returns only jobs you have not received before.

### How to use it

1. Add board names, for example `greenhouse`. The name is the part of the job board address after `boards.greenhouse.io` or `job-boards.greenhouse.io`.
2. Add keywords if you want only certain roles.
3. Run it, then download the jobs as JSON, CSV or Excel, or use the API.

#### Input example

```json
{
  "boards": ["greenhouse"],
  "keywords": ["engineer", "remote"],
  "maxJobsPerBoard": 200
}
```

#### Output example (one job)

```json
{
  "board": "greenhouse",
  "jobId": 8126988,
  "title": "Customer Success Manager",
  "location": "Atlanta, Georgia",
  "department": "Customer Success",
  "offices": ["Atlanta"],
  "url": "https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/greenhouse/jobs/8126988",
  "updatedAt": "2026-10-30T10:00:00-04:00",
  "firstPublishedAt": "2026-10-29T10:00:00-04:00",
  "returnedAt": "2026-11-01T10:00:00.000Z"
}
```

### Good to know

- **Public data.** Greenhouse publishes job board data for anyone to read through its Job Board API, and its GET endpoints need no key.
- **Only open jobs.** A job that has closed drops off the board, so it is not returned.
- **Unknown boards are skipped.** A board name that Greenhouse does not know is listed in the run summary as skipped.
- **Descriptions are optional.** Turn on "Include job description" to get the text. It makes each run larger.
- **Cost.** Each job costs $0.0001, so 1,000 jobs cost $0.10, plus $0.005 per run.
- **Cost limit.** If you set a maximum cost for a run, the scraper stops cleanly when it reaches it.

### FAQ

**Can I search all companies at once?** No. Greenhouse has no public list of every company. Add the boards you want to follow.

**A board is listed as skipped.** The name is wrong, or the company does not use Greenhouse. Check the job board address.

### Pricing

Greenhouse Jobs Scraper uses pay per event. You pay $0.005 to start a run and $0.0001 for each job, so 1,000 jobs cost about $0.105. There is no monthly fee. Set a maximum cost on a run and it stops cleanly when it reaches it.

### Use cases

- Watch target companies for new openings and get only the new ones each run.
- Spot hiring trends by department and location across competitors.
- Feed a job board or alert service with fresh listings.
- Collect roles by keyword, such as remote or engineer, for recruiting research.

### Use it from Python or JavaScript

Every Apify actor has an API. Replace the token with yours from the Apify Console.

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("My_agent_C/greenhouse-jobs-scraper").call(run_input={
  "boards": ["greenhouse"],
  "keywords": ["engineer", "remote"],
  "maxJobsPerBoard": 200
})
items = client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).list_items().items
```

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: 'YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN' });
const run = await client.actor('My_agent_C/greenhouse-jobs-scraper').call({
  "boards": ["greenhouse"],
  "keywords": ["engineer", "remote"],
  "maxJobsPerBoard": 200
});
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
```

You can also run it on a schedule, send results to Google Sheets, Zapier, Make or n8n, or call it from an AI agent through the Apify MCP server.

#### More questions

**How do I scrape Greenhouse jobs?** Add the company's board name, which is the last part of its Greenhouse job board address, and run the actor. It reads Greenhouse's public Job Board API.

**Do I need an API key for Greenhouse jobs?** No. Greenhouse's public job board endpoints need no key.

**How do I find a company's Greenhouse board name?** Open the company's careers page. If it uses Greenhouse, the address contains boards.greenhouse.io/name or job-boards.greenhouse.io/name. The name is what you enter.
