from $0.10 / 1,000 launches

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Product Hunt Launches Scraper

Get the latest Product Hunt launches in one run: name, tagline, product link and launch time. Filter by keyword or date, or turn on **Only new launches** and schedule a daily run to get each day's new launches.

### What you can do with it

- **Spot new competitors.** Get a daily list of new launches in your market, filtered by keyword.
- **Track a category.** Follow launches about AI, fintech, productivity or anything else, using keywords.
- **Build a launch feed.** Post new launches to a newsletter, Slack or a spreadsheet.
- **Scout ideas.** See what people are launching, and what they call it, in one list.

### How to use it

1. Optional: add keywords, like `ai` or `analytics`. Leave empty for every launch.
2. Optional: set a start date with **Launched since**.
3. Optional: turn on **Only new launches** for monitoring.
4. Run it, then download the launches as JSON, CSV or Excel, or use the API.

#### Input example

```json
{
  "keywords": ["ai", "developer"],
  "onlyNew": true
}
```

#### Output example (one launch)

```json
{
  "id": "1299153",
  "name": "AC Bridge",
  "tagline": "Your smart lights show when Claude Code or Codex needs you.",
  "productUrl": "https://www.producthunt.com/products/ac-bridge",
  "publishedAt": "2026-10-31T04:20:01.000Z",
  "updatedAt": "2026-10-31T22:41:01.000Z",
  "returnedAt": "2026-11-01T06:00:00.000Z"
}
```

### Good to know

- **The feed holds the 50 most recent launches.** Product Hunt's public feed doesn't go further back, so one run gives at most 50 launches. For a full history, schedule a daily run with **Only new launches**.
- **Monitoring remembers what it returned.** A launch counts as seen once it is returned or once it fails your keyword or date filter. Changing the keywords later won't bring back launches that were already passed over.
- **No author names.** Product Hunt makers' names are never kept. You get the product, not the person.
- **No login, no token.** The actor reads Product Hunt's public feed. It doesn't use the official API, which needs a developer token.
- **Speed and cost.** Each run takes a few seconds. Each launch costs $0.0001, so 1,000 launches cost $0.10, plus $0.005 per run.
- **Cost limit.** If you set a maximum cost for a run, the scraper stops cleanly when it reaches it.

### FAQ

**Can I search older launches?** Not from the public feed. Schedule a daily run with **Only new launches** to build up the history over time.

**Can I get the maker's name or the product's website?** No. The feed gives the launch page on Product Hunt. Open that page to find the product's own website.
