## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Shopify Products Scraper

Get the product catalog of any Shopify store in one run: titles, prices, sale prices, variants, stock and links. Give it one store or many, and filter by keyword, price or stock.

Turn on **Only changes since the last run** and schedule a daily run to get a change feed: new products, price changes, and products that went in or out of stock.

### What you can do with it

- **Track competitors.** See what they sell, at what price, and when they run a sale or sell out.
- **Price monitoring.** Get a daily list of price changes across the stores you follow.
- **Stock alerts.** Know when a product comes back in stock, or sells out.
- **Market research.** Count products per vendor or product type, and compare price ranges across stores.
- **Build product feeds.** Flat JSON, CSV or Excel output with one row per product.

### How to use it

1. Add one or more stores by domain, like `allbirds.com`.
2. Optional:
   - Set the maximum products per store.
   - Add keywords, or limit to products in stock.
   - Set a minimum or maximum price.
   - Turn on **Only changes since the last run** for monitoring.
3. Run it, then download the products as JSON, CSV or Excel, or use the API.

#### Input example

```json
{
  "stores": ["allbirds.com", "bombas.com"],
  "maxProductsPerStore": 2000,
  "keywords": ["socks", "runner"],
  "onlyAvailable": true,
  "onlyChanges": true
}
```

#### Output example (one product)

```json
{
  "store": "allbirds.com",
  "productId": "10568701444152",
  "title": "Tree Runner",
  "vendor": "Allbirds",
  "productType": "Shoes",
  "url": "https://allbirds.com/products/tree-runner",
  "priceMin": 110,
  "priceMax": 110,
  "compareAtPriceMin": null,
  "onSale": false,
  "available": true,
  "variantCount": 24,
  "changeType": "price-change"
}
```

`changeType` is only set in change mode: `new`, `price-change`, `back-in-stock` or `out-of-stock`.

#### Run summary

The `OUTPUT` record in the run's key-value store lists, for each store, how many products were read and returned, whether the whole catalog was read, and any error.

### Good to know

- **Public catalogs only.** The actor reads each store's public product feed, the same one a shop's own search uses. It doesn't sign in, use proxies, or get around blocks. A store that refuses requests is reported in the summary and skipped.
- **Rate limits.** Some stores limit how often they answer. The actor waits when told to and retries a few times, then reports the store as unavailable.
- **Change mode needs a full read.** The change feed only saves a store's baseline after reading the whole catalog. Set the maximum above the store's product count.
- **What counts as a change.** Price and stock. Shopify's last-updated time moves with almost any edit, so it is not used.
- **Prices** are in each store's own currency and are the lowest variant price.
- **Cost.** Each product returned costs $0.0001, so 1,000 products cost $0.10, plus $0.005 per run.

### FAQ

**Does it show customer data?** No. It returns product data only: no customer or order information.

**Can it read a store's sold-out products?** Yes, unless you turn on "Only products in stock". The `available` field says whether anything can be bought now.

**Why do two runs of the same store sometimes differ?** Stores change their catalog all the time. Change mode returns only what changed since the last run.

# Actor input Schema

## `stores` (type: `array`):

Shopify store domains, like allbirds.com. A full address like https://allbirds.com/collections/shoes also works.

## `maxProductsPerStore` (type: `integer`):

Stops reading a store after this many products. Change tracking needs the whole store, so set this above the store's catalog size.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Only products whose title, vendor, type or tags contain one of these words (not case sensitive).

## `onlyAvailable` (type: `boolean`):

Return only products with at least one variant that can be bought now.

## `minPrice` (type: `number`):

Lowest price of the product, in the store's currency.

## `maxPrice` (type: `number`):

Lowest price of the product, in the store's currency.

## `onlyChanges` (type: `boolean`):

Return only new products, price changes, and products that went in or out of stock since the last run. Schedule a daily run to get a change feed.
