## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Bluesky Scraper: Posts, Search, Profiles & Monitor

Search Bluesky posts by keyword, or pull profiles and posts from any handle. Uses Bluesky's **official public API**, which is built for apps like this. No login, no cookies, no browser.

### Features

- **Search posts** by keyword, phrase, hashtag or Bluesky search syntax (`from:`, `domain:`). Filter by language and dates. Sort by latest or top.
- **Handles:** profile stats (followers, follows, posts) plus their posts. Options for replies and reposts.
- **Monitor mode:** give a name and schedule it. Each run returns only posts you haven't received yet, and you only pay for those.
- Clean output: text, likes, reposts, replies, quotes, links, hashtags, images, reply/quote targets, and web URL.

### Pricing

**$0.80 per 1,000 items** (posts or profiles). No start fee. Already-seen posts in monitor mode and not-found handles are free.

### Limits

- Without a login, Bluesky's public API returns **up to 100 posts per search term per run**. Use dates (`since`/`until`), more specific terms, or a scheduled monitor to go further. Handle feeds go deeper (tested to 250 per handle).
- Only public data. Deleted posts disappear from Bluesky; if you store data, please honor deletions.

### Example input

```json
{ "searchTerms": ["3d printing"], "handles": ["bsky.app"], "lang": "en", "maxPostsPerQuery": 100, "monitorName": "daily" }
```

### Terms

Read-only use of Bluesky's public AT Protocol API. We don't post, like, follow or message. Not affiliated with Bluesky Social PBC.

# Actor input Schema

Keywords, phrases, hashtags (#ai) or Bluesky search syntax (from:handle, domain:example.com).

## `handles` (type: `array`):

e.g. bsky.app, @jay.bsky.team or https://bsky.app/profile/bsky.app. Returns the profile and its posts.

## `profilesOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Only return profile rows for the handles.

## `sort` (type: `string`):

Latest or top posts for search terms.

## `until` (type: `string`):

Search only: posts before this date.

## `lang` (type: `string`):

Search only: 2-letter language code, e.g. en.
