## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Influencer Analytics API - Sponsorships, Brand Spend, CreatorDB

Find YouTube, Instagram and TikTok influencers by niche, country, followers and engagement, then export their profiles, contact emails, audience demographics, performance history, recent content, sponsorships and transcripts, and see which brands sponsor whom and what they spend. Uses your own CreatorDB API key, never changes anything in your account, and charges only for rows that carry data.

### What it collects

- **Creator search** on YouTube, Instagram or TikTok with real filters: name keyword, creator country and content language, niches, YouTube topics, categories, hashtags, follower range, engagement rate, average views, 30 day follower growth, last upload, business email, sponsored content, verified accounts, and main audience country, gender and age. Any other documented filter (more than 100 on YouTube) goes in through the advanced filters list. Sort by followers, engagement, views, growth or platform score.
- **Natural language search**: describe the creators you want in plain words and the provider turns it into a search, or answers with suggestions when the description is too broad.
- **Creator profiles**: display name, bio, followers or subscribers, total content, country, main and secondary languages, verification, business and private account flags, hashtags with usage stats, topics, niches, category breakdown, other links, related creators and last upload.
- **Contact emails** for YouTube, Instagram and TikTok creators.
- **Performance**: upload counts over 7, 30 and 90 days, rankings, likes, comments, views, length and engagement of recent and all-time videos, shorts, posts and reels, growth rates, and on YouTube the estimated CPM and price range for a video or a short.
- **Performance history**: one row per day for up to 365 days with followers, content count and performance blocks.
- **Audience demographics**: audience countries, gender split, average age and age breakdown.
- **Recent content**: recent videos, shorts, image posts, reels and TikToks with publish time, title or caption, views, likes, comments, shares, engagement rate, hashtags, sponsored flag, tagged creators and audio.
- **Sponsorships** (YouTube, Instagram): each brand that sponsored the creator with the sponsored videos, posts or reels and their performance.
- **YouTube subtitles**: the available tracks of a video and the chosen track as the provider's JSON subtitle file, for transcript analysis.
- **Brand intelligence**: brand search by name, industry, headquarters country, sponsoring region and platform, sponsored creator, active campaign and estimated spend; the full brand directory; brand profiles with industries, key people, socials and competitors; the creators a brand sponsored; sponsored creator performance with estimated cost and CPM; the audience of a brand's sponsored creators; and a spend summary with estimated spend, CPM and CPE.
- **Topics and niches** to fill the search filters, and **credit usage** per day.
- Read only, pay per result, bring your own key.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| What to read | One of the 20 modes above. Creator search is the default. |
| Platform | YouTube, Instagram or TikTok. Sponsorship modes take YouTube or Instagram. |
| Name keyword, creator countries, content languages, niches, topics, categories, hashtags | Creator search filters. Countries are ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 (USA), languages ISO 639-3 (eng). |
| Minimum and maximum followers, minimum engagement rate, minimum average views, minimum 30 day growth, posted within days | Creator search ranges. Rates are decimals: 0.03 is 3 percent. |
| Has a business email, has sponsored content, verified only, main audience countries, gender and age | Creator search flags and audience filters. |
| Advanced filters | Any documented filterName as {"filterName", "op", "value"}, for creator search and brand search. |
| Sort creators by, sort descending | Creator search order. |
| Description | Natural language search. |
| Creators | Creator modes: channel IDs, handles or profile URLs, one per line. |
| History days | Performance history, 1 to 365. |
| Video IDs, subtitle language, prefer human captions | YouTube video subtitles. |
| Brand name, industries, brand countries, sponsoring regions, sponsoring platforms, sponsored YouTube channel IDs, sponsored Instagram handles, active campaign only, minimum 30 day spend, sort brands by | Brand search and the brand directory. |
| Brand IDs, sponsored creator and performance sort | Brand modes. A brand ID is usually the brand's domain, such as nike.com. |
| Usage start and end date | API credit usage. |
| Maximum results, requests per minute | Row cap and pacing. |
| CreatorDB API key | Your own key, as a secret input. |

A typical flow: run creator search, copy the handles or channel IDs into Creators, then run profiles, contact emails or audience demographics on them.

### Credits on the CreatorDB side

CreatorDB meters its API in credits, separately from this actor's price. Full-bundle prices from its Credit Usage page: creator search 1 credit per call per 10 filters (charged even when nothing matches), profile 2, performance 1.5 to 3, performance history 3 to 5 by range, audience 10, contact 15, content 3, sponsorship 5, subtitle track list 1 and download 3, topics and niches 1, brand search 2 per page, brand directory 1 per page, brand profile 2, and the brand creators, performance, audience and summary 15 each. Natural language search costs a few credits by token use. Lookups of an ID the provider has not indexed cost nothing, and errors cost nothing.

### FAQ

#### What is an influencer analytics API used for?

Finding and vetting creators, and studying brands' creator marketing, from code or a spreadsheet instead of a dashboard. An agency builds a shortlist of US beauty YouTubers with 100K to 1M subscribers, then pulls their emails and audience age and gender. A brand team checks which creators its competitors sponsored on Instagram and what they paid per thousand views. A media buyer tracks a creator's daily subscriber growth before a deal. A research team transcribes recent videos for topic analysis.

#### Which data source does this actor read?

The CreatorDB API v3 at apiv3.creatordb.app, through the routes in its public OpenAPI document at docs.creatordb.app: the YouTube, Instagram and TikTok search, profile, contact, performance, performance history, audience, content detail, sponsorship and niche endpoints, the YouTube topic and subtitle endpoints, natural language search, the sponsor search, list, information, creators, performance, audience and summary endpoints, and usage. The host and routes were checked live on 2026-10-04.

#### Do I need a CreatorDB API key?

Yes. This actor is bring-your-own-key and never ships one. Create a key in the CreatorDB dashboard under API (your account needs credits to create one), paste it into the input, or set it once as the `DATA_API_KEY` environment secret. A missing or refused key, an account out of credits, and a key over its own spend limit each end the run cleanly with a message saying which it was.

#### Which platforms are covered?

YouTube, Instagram and TikTok for creator search, profiles, contact emails, performance, history, audience, content and niches. Sponsorship data, brand sponsored creators and brand spend cover YouTube and Instagram; the provider does not track TikTok sponsorships. Topics and subtitles are YouTube only. Estimated CPM, price and brand spend are YouTube estimates.

#### How do I find the right niche or topic values?

Run the niches mode for the platform, or the topics mode for YouTube. Each row has an `id` such as `id_smartphone_ScienceTechnology` that the niches and topics filters take, the readable `name` and `category`, and in `value` the number of creators tagged with it.

#### How do I get creator contact emails in bulk?

Run creator search with "Has a business email" ticked, then put the returned handles or channel IDs in Creators and run the contact emails mode. Each row has `emails` and the first one in `email`. Creators with no email on file give a free row with found set to false.

#### What does a creator the provider does not know do?

It becomes a free row with found set to false and a note. The provider does not index every account; new ones can be submitted for indexing in the CreatorDB dashboard. A malformed handle or channel ID is caught before any call with a message saying what shape is expected.

#### Can this actor change anything in my CreatorDB account?

No. The routes that submit creators or brands for indexing are not used, and the optional fractional `fields` parameter is never sent, so every call returns the full response at the provider's full-bundle price and works on any key.

#### How is it priced?

Pay per result in three tiers: list rows (search results, brands, sponsored creators, content items, history days, topics and niches), reports (profiles, performance, sponsorships, subtitle files, brand profiles, sponsored creator performance), and premium rows (contact emails, audience demographics, brand audience and spend summaries). Lookups that find nothing and credit usage rows are free. Your CreatorDB credits apply separately.

Values are illustrative; every field is one the provider documents. Search rows carry the creator's handle, ID and follower count; content rows carry `contentType`, `views`, `likes` and `engagementRate`; history rows carry one `date` each; sponsorship rows carry the brand in `id` and `name` with the sponsored content; brand rows carry `brandId`, `industries` and spend fields.
