## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Parcel Tracking API: TrackingMore 1,200+ Carriers

Track parcels and shipments across 1,200+ carriers through your own TrackingMore account, as one clean dataset row per tracking, courier, airline or air waybill.

TrackingMore (by CWILL) is a multi-carrier shipment tracking platform that follows packages across USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, China Post, Royal Mail, Canada Post and more than 1,200 other couriers, and normalises every scan into one delivery status model. This actor is a workflow and export tool on top of the documented TrackingMore API v4 (api.trackingmore.com/v4): it reads the trackings in your account, filtered by courier, status and date, flattens the latest event, checkpoint and carrier ETA into columns, and hands the rows to CSV, Excel, Google Sheets, BI dashboards, CRMs, webhooks or AI agents. Bring your own API key.

BYOK, not live tested: every route, parameter and field comes from the TrackingMore API reference (its published OpenAPI document), and the routes were probed on 2026-10-28 with an invalid key. The actor has not been run against a live TrackingMore key.

### What it does

- **Get trackings**: the tracking results already in your account, with tracking number, courier code, delivery status and substatus, latest event, every origin and destination checkpoint, milestone dates (info received, pickup, out for delivery, delivered), carrier scheduled delivery date, transit time, weight, signed by and order details. Filter by up to 1,000 tracking numbers, courier, delivery status, archived or normal, created and updated date range, and language. Pages are followed automatically, 200 trackings per request. Reading costs no TrackingMore credits.
- **Track shipments (realtime, opt-in)**: creates trackings in your TrackingMore account and returns the live carrier result in the same answer, the documented way to fetch the status of a number TrackingMore is not following yet. Leave the courier empty and each number is sent to Detect courier first. It runs only when you tick Confirm credit use, and each new tracking number and courier pair uses one of your TrackingMore credits. A number already in your account is read back with Get trackings instead, for free.
- **Detect courier**: the likely carriers (courier codes and full courier records) for each tracking number.
- **Get all couriers**: the 1,200+ supported couriers with code, name, country, type (express or postal), website, phone, required and optional tracking fields, languages and logo.
- **Get air waybill results**: air cargo tracking for air waybills already created in your account, with status, flights, airport checkpoints, pieces, weight and airline.
- **Get all airlines**: the supported airlines with 3 digit prefix, IATA and ICAO codes and country.
- **Pay only for results**: refused, unknown and empty lookups are recorded as a free row that says why, never charged.

### How to use it

1. In the TrackingMore admin open Developer, API Key (admin.trackingmore.com/developer/apikey) and generate an API key.
2. Paste the key into the API key field (or set the DATA_API_KEY secret). It is sent only to TrackingMore in the Tracking-Api-Key header and is removed from everything the actor logs.
3. Pick a mode, set filters, and start the run. Download the rows as JSON, CSV or Excel, schedule the run for a daily sync with the Updated after filter, or call the actor from your own code.

A missing or rejected key, a used up credit quota or an empty input ends the run cleanly with a status message that says what to change.

### Input

| `courierCode` | Get trackings, Track shipments | One courier code such as usps, ups, fedex, dhl or china-post |
| `deliveryStatus` | Get trackings | any, pending, notfound, transit, pickup, delivered, expired, undelivered, exception, inforeceived |
| `archivedStatus` | Get trackings | Normal (`tracking`) or archived (`true`) trackings |
| `createdAfter`, `createdBefore`, `updatedAfter`, `updatedBefore` | Get trackings | Dates such as 2026-10-01 or date and times |
| `lang` | Get trackings, Track shipments | Two letter language of the results |
| `confirmCreate` | Track shipments | Must be on for that mode to run |
| `originCountry`, `destinationCountry` | Track shipments | ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 codes such as CN or US |
| `trackingPostalCode`, `trackingShipDate` | Track shipments | Extra fields some couriers require |
| `awbNumbers` | Get air waybill results | Air waybill numbers such as 235-69030430 |
| `maxResults` | all | Most rows to return and charge for |
| `requestsPerMinute` | all | Pacing for calls to TrackingMore |
| `apiKey` | all | Your TrackingMore API key (secret) |

### Output

Every row keeps every field TrackingMore returns (including `origin_info` and `destination_info` with their `trackinfo` checkpoints and `milestone_date`), plus flat columns that are easy to filter: `trackingId`, `trackingNumber`, `courierCode`, `status`, `subStatus`, `statusInfo`, `latestEvent`, `latestCheckpointTime`, `lastCheckpointMessage`, `lastCheckpointLocation`, `checkpointCount`, `originCountry`, `destinationCountry`, `orderNumber`, `scheduledDeliveryDate`, `deliveredAt` and `transitTimeDays`. Detection rows add `matchedCount`, `matchedCodes` and `couriers`; airline and air waybill rows add `airlineName`, `airlinePrefix` and `awbNumber`. A refused lookup has `found` set to false and a `note` with TrackingMore's own words.

### FAQ

#### What is the TrackingMore API?

The TrackingMore API is the REST API of TrackingMore, the shipment tracking platform of CWILL, for tracking parcels across 1,200+ couriers. Version 4 at api.trackingmore.com/v4 creates and reads trackings, detects couriers, lists couriers and airlines, tracks air waybills and pushes webhooks, with the API key in a Tracking-Api-Key header.

#### Do I need my own TrackingMore API key?

Yes. This is a bring your own key actor: it calls TrackingMore with your key, under your plan, its credits and its terms. Generate the key in the TrackingMore admin under Developer, API Key. TrackingMore offers a free account to start.

#### Which modes use my TrackingMore credits?

Only Track shipments (realtime). TrackingMore deducts one credit for each new tracking number and courier pair it creates; asking for the same pair again costs nothing, so Get trackings, Detect courier, Get all couriers, Get all airlines and Get air waybill results use no credits. Creating air waybills (50 credits each) is not offered by this actor.

#### How do I track a package number that is not in my account yet?

Run Track shipments (realtime) with the number, tick Confirm credit use, and set the courier code if you know it (otherwise the actor detects it first). TrackingMore fetches the carrier result and returns it in the same answer; after that the tracking stays in your account and later Get trackings runs read its updates for free.

#### How do I export all delivered or failed shipments to CSV or Google Sheets?

Run Get trackings with Delivery status set to Delivered, or to Undelivered or Exception for problem shipments, add a created date range, then download the dataset as CSV or Excel or connect it to Google Sheets through an Apify integration.

#### How far back can I read trackings?

TrackingMore stores tracking data for 180 days, so created and updated date filters work inside that window. Schedule the actor daily with Updated after set to yesterday to keep a longer history in your own storage.

#### Why did a courier refuse my tracking number?

Some couriers need extra fields, such as the recipient postal code, the ship date or a destination country. TrackingMore answers with code 4122 and the row says so; the courier's `tracking_required_fields` in Get all couriers lists what it needs, and the Track shipments inputs take them.

#### What do I pay?

Pay per result: 0.008 USD per tracking read, 0.01 USD per realtime tracking created or air waybill result, and 0.005 USD per courier detection, courier or airline. Refused and empty lookups are free.

### Routes probed and sources

Routes and fields come from the TrackingMore API reference at trackingmore.com/docs/trackingmore and its bundled OpenAPI document, plus TrackingMore's own Node.js SDK. On 2026-10-28 the real routes (/couriers/all, /trackings/get, /awb/airlines, /awb/get and POST /couriers/detect) were called with an invalid key and answered TrackingMore's 401 envelope "Authentication failed or has no permission". Invented paths under a real prefix answered 404 "Page does not exist", while invented top level paths answered an empty 200, so the actor calls only the documented paths.

### Licensing and data use

This actor works only with your own TrackingMore account and API key, and the CWILL terms of service apply to everything it returns. It is an export and workflow tool for your own shipment data: it does not resell TrackingMore data or offer a replacement for the TrackingMore API. Customer details in your trackings (names, emails, phone numbers) are your own customers' personal data; handle the exported rows accordingly. This actor is not affiliated with or endorsed by TrackingMore or CWILL.

# Actor input Schema

## `mode` (type: `string`):

Get trackings reads the shipments already in your TrackingMore account (free of credits), filtered by tracking number, courier, delivery status and date, with every checkpoint. Track shipments (realtime) is opt-in: it creates trackings and returns their live status, and each new tracking number and courier pair uses one TrackingMore credit. Detect courier finds the carrier of a tracking number. Get all couriers lists the 1,200+ supported carriers. Get air waybill results reads air cargo waybills already in your account. Get all airlines lists the supported airlines.

## `trackingNumbers` (type: `array`):

Get trackings (optional filter, sent 40 per request, up to 1,000 per run), Track shipments (up to 500 per run) and Detect courier. One tracking number per line.

## `courierCode` (type: `string`):

Get trackings (optional filter) and Track shipments. One TrackingMore courier code such as usps, ups, fedex, dhl or china-post (see Get all couriers). For Track shipments, leave it empty to detect the courier of each number automatically.
