## UK Police Crime Scraper

Pulls street-level crime reports around any coordinate through the official
police.uk open data API. No login, no proxy, no browser.

### Output

One row per crime: `id`, `category`, `month`, `streetName`, `streetId`,

### Notes

- **Leave `month` unset unless you need a specific one.** police.uk publishes
  several weeks in arrears, so a hardcoded recent month silently returns
  nothing once the calendar moves past it. Omitted, the API serves the latest
  month it actually has.
- The API returns everything within roughly a one mile radius with no
  server-side paging — a central London point yields several thousand rows,
  which is what `maxItems` is for.
- **Locations are deliberately approximate.** Each crime is snapped to a
  nearby anonymous map point ("On or near ..."), never the actual address, so
  coordinates identify a street, not a building or a victim.
- `outcome_status` is `null` for a large share of records, which means no
  outcome has been recorded yet rather than no action taken.
