## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU Tenders Scraper (TED): public procurement notices API

Search **EU public tenders** from **TED (Tenders Electronic Daily)**, the official journal for public procurement in the European Union, and export clean, flat records to JSON, CSV or Excel. Filter by keyword, buyer country, CPV code, notice type and publication date. The actor uses the **official TED Search API v3**, so there are no proxies, CAPTCHAs or broken selectors.

Use it for **tender monitoring**, bid/no-bid pipelines, sales lead generation for B2G companies, market research and procurement analytics across all 27 EU countries plus EEA.

### What you get for each notice

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `publicationNumber` | `685893-2026` |
| `title` | "España – Servicios de comidas para escuelas – Servicios de catering…" |
| `buyerName`, `buyerCity`, `buyerCountry` | Fundación Municipal de Escuelas Infantiles, Santa Lucía, ESP |
| `publicationDate`, `deadline` | 2026-10-06, 2026-11-05 |
| `noticeType`, `procedureType`, `contractNature` | cn-social, open, services |
| `cpvCodes` | `["55523100", "55524000"]` |
| `estimatedValue`, `currency` | 1080000, EUR |
| `placeOfPerformance` | NUTS codes, e.g. `ES705` |
| `lots` | lot titles, descriptions, values |
| `url`, `pdfUrl`, `xmlUrl` | links to the notice on ted.europa.eu in your language |

Titles and descriptions are returned in the **language you choose** (24 EU languages), falling back to English.

### How to use

1. Enter **keywords** (any EU language). Separate alternatives with commas: `catering, comedor escolar, restauracja`.
2. Optionally pick **buyer countries** (ISO alpha-3: `ESP`, `POL`, `DEU`, `FRA`…) and **CPV codes or prefixes** (`55` = hotel, restaurant and catering services, `72` = IT services, `45` = construction).
3. Choose **Open calls** (you can still bid), **Awards**, or **All**.
4. Set a date range or **Days back**, and **Max notices**.
5. Run it, then download the dataset or connect it to Google Sheets, Slack, Make, Zapier or n8n.

Power users can paste a raw **TED expert query** (e.g. `classification-cpv=72* AND buyer-country=POL AND publication-date>=20260101`).

#### Example input

```json
{
  "keywords": "catering, restaurante, comedor",
  "countries": ["ESP", "PRT"],
  "noticeScope": "open",
  "daysBack": 30,
  "language": "eng",
  "maxItems": 200
}
```

### Daily tender alerts

Create a **Schedule** in Apify (e.g. every morning) with `daysBack: 1` and connect an integration (email, Slack, webhook). You get every new matching tender once a day.

### Pricing

Pay per result: you only pay for notices saved to the dataset. See the Pricing tab. A typical daily alert (20–50 notices) costs cents.

### FAQ

**Is this legal?** Yes. TED data is published by the Publications Office of the EU for reuse (Commission Decision 2011/833/EU), and this actor reads it through the official public API.

**Does it include contact persons?** No. We output organisation-level data only. E-mail addresses and phone numbers that appear in lot descriptions are removed.

**How fresh is the data?** TED publishes new notices every working day; the API is live.

**Why do I see fewer results than on the website?** Check notice type (Open calls excludes awards) and the date range.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `string`):

Words to search in the full text of notices, in any EU language. Separate alternatives with commas (OR): e.g. catering, comedor escolar, restauracja. Words inside one alternative must all appear. Leave empty to match everything.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Buyer country codes, e.g. ESP, POL, DEU, FRA, ITA. Leave empty for all countries.

## `cpvCodes` (type: `array`):

Common Procurement Vocabulary codes. Use a prefix to match a whole family, e.g. 55 (hotel, restaurant and catering), 72 (IT services), 45 (construction). Full 8-digit codes also work.

## `noticeScope` (type: `string`):

'Open calls' = contract notices you can still bid on. 'Awards' = contract award notices (who won). 'All' = every notice type.

## `publishedFrom` (type: `string`):

Only notices published on or after this date. If empty, 'Days back' is used.

## `publishedTo` (type: `string`):

Only notices published on or before this date. Empty = today.

## `daysBack` (type: `integer`):

Used when 'Published from' is empty: search notices from the last N days.

## `language` (type: `string`):

TED publishes titles in all EU languages. We return this language when available, falling back to English, then the original.

## `expertQuery` (type: `string`):

Optional raw TED expert-search query, e.g. classification-cpv=72\* AND buyer-country=POL AND publication-date>=20260101. When set, all filters above are ignored.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of notices to return (you pay per notice).
