## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### eBay Store Scraper — All Listings of a Seller ✅ No API Key

List what an eBay seller has for sale. Enter a username or store URL and get one
row per active listing: item ID, title, listing URL, price and list price as
numbers, the discount, currency, condition and image — up to 500 listings per
run. No API key, no eBay account and no cookies required.

### ✨ Why this Actor

- **Competitor and supplier catalogues in one run.** Everything a store sells,
  as a table.
- **Paste a username or a link.** `sarahcell` and
  `https://www.ebay.com/str/sarahcell` both work.
- **Clean titles and links.** eBay's screen-reader text is removed from titles
  and tracking parameters from URLs.
- **One row per listing, priced per row.** eBay's own promo tile is dropped and
  duplicate item IDs are written once.
- **Predictable cost.** The run is trimmed to what your "Maximum cost per run"
  can pay for *before* anything is fetched.
- **No listings, no charge.** If no listing could be read, the run fails and
  costs nothing.

### 🔧 How it works

1. Enter an eBay username or store URL.
2. Say how many listings you want (up to 500).
3. The Actor calls the Neuralverge extraction engine and writes one dataset row
   per listing.

### Input

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `seller` | eBay username or store URL, e.g. `sarahcell` |
| `maxItems` | Listings per run, 1–500 |

```json
{
  "seller": "sarahcell",
  "maxItems": 100
}
```

### What you'll receive

One row per listing: `seller`, `position`, `itemId`, `title`, `url`, `price`,
`currency`, `listPrice`, `discountPercent`, `condition`, `buyingFormat`,
`bidCount`, `hasBestOffer`, `soldCount` and `image`.

Everything arrives in a single Output tab as flat columns: no preview view hides
any field, and no column collapses into a nested cell.

#### Example output (real run)

```json
{
  "seller": "sarahcell",
  "position": 1,
  "itemId": "800634469572",
  "title": "Apple iPhone 14 – Very Good Condition (512GB 128GB) Starlight Red Purple",
  "url": "https://www.ebay.com/itm/800634469572",
  "price": 238,
  "currency": "USD",
  "listPrice": null,
  "discountPercent": null,
  "condition": "Pre-Owned",
  "buyingFormat": null,
  "bidCount": null,
  "hasBestOffer": false,
  "soldCount": null,
  "image": "https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/csIAAeSww05qoPvX/s-l500.webp"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per result, charged per dataset row. Starting the Actor is free and there is
no minimum charge per run.

- Only listing rows are billed.
- A run that **fails** is never charged: missing or invalid input, an upstream
  error, a page that was never retrieved, and a storefront from which no listing
  could be read all write nothing.
- eBay's own "Shop on eBay" house tile is dropped and never billed.
- Set "Maximum cost per run" to cap a run. The Actor reads that cap before
  fetching and trims the number of rows to what the cap can pay for.

### Free plan limits

On the Apify Free plan this Actor can be started 5 times per calendar month per
user and returns at most 5 rows per run. Every Neuralverge Actor has its own
allowance, and a run that finds nothing counts towards it. Any paid Apify plan
removes both limits.

### Integrations & API

The dataset is available through the Apify API, and the Actor can be called from
Apify Integrations, scheduled, or chained into another Actor like any other. Rows
export to JSON, CSV, Excel and Google Sheets.

### FAQ

**Why did a run fail with "no active listings could be read"?**
Either the store has nothing for sale, the username is wrong, or that store's
page layout could not be read. Some very large stores are affected. Such runs are
not charged.

**Which fields are often empty?**
`listPrice`, `buyingFormat`, `bidCount` and `soldCount` are empty on many cards.
`itemId`, `title`, `url`, `price`, `currency` and `condition` are the reliable
ones.

**Can I get the seller's rating as well?**
Yes — use the **eBay Seller Scraper** Actor by Neuralverge.

**Do I need an eBay account or cookies?**
No.

# Actor input Schema

## `seller` (type: `string`):

The eBay username, e.g. "sarahcell", or a store URL (https://www.ebay.com/str/…). One seller per run.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

How many listings to return, 1-500. You are charged per row delivered, so this is also the cap on what the run can cost. On the Apify Free plan a run is limited to 5 rows whatever you set here.

## `apiKey` (type: `string`):

Only needed if you want to bill the lookups to your own Neuralverge account instead of paying per result here. Leave empty to use this Actor normally.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "seller": "sarahcell",
  "maxItems": 25
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

The seller's active eBay listings, one dataset row per item.

# API

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "seller": "sarahcell",
    "maxItems": 25
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("neuralverge/neuralverge-ebay-seller-items").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
