## Pricing

from $2.49 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### eBay Scraper — active eBay listings by search term or URL

eBay Scraper reads eBay search result pages exactly as a logged-out visitor sees them and returns one row per
active listing: item ID, title, condition, price (or price range), auction bids and time left, shipping,
location, seller name and feedback, watchers and sold counts. It follows eBay's own "next page" link until
your limit is reached. With **Add item-page details** on, it also opens each listing and adds brand, model,
MPN / GTIN, item specifics, all images, return policy, payment methods, category path and seller details.

No eBay account, no login, no cookies from a browser.

**Sold-listing searches are not available.** Since 2026 eBay sends every logged-out visitor of a sold /
completed search (`LH_Sold=1` / `LH_Complete=1`) to its sign-in page (re-checked 2026-10-03), so such URLs are
skipped with an error. An **ended listing whose item URL you already have** still works without login: its
page stays public and the row carries `listingStatus` ENDED, the end time and the price the page shows.

#### Measured limits (local tests 2026-10-03, one residential IP in Bangladesh, no proxy)

- eBay is protected by Akamai Bot Manager. Every new session first opens the home page (it gets HTTP 403 and
  Akamai's cookies), then the real page. From the test IP that first real request passed in
  34 of 52 fresh sessions; a further search page in the same session passed 8 of 16 times, item pages 16 of 16.
  A blocked page gets up to 4 sessions with back-off. Late in testing (after about 110 eBay requests in
  40 minutes) one run was blocked on all 4 sessions (2 eBay "Checking your browser" pages, 2 HTTP 403) and
  returned 0 rows; the same input 10 minutes later returned 150 rows over 3 pages. On Apify each new session
  uses a new residential IP, which we could not measure locally.
- eBay's "Checking your browser" / CAPTCHA pages are never answered — they count as a block.
- Sold / completed searches: login wall (302 to signin.ebay.com) - refused with an error.
- Ended listings by known item ID: public, no login. Tested on an auction that ended during testing: HTTP
  200, `listingStatus` ENDED, `endedAt` 2026-10-02T20:30:42Z, "Item sold on Fri, Oct 2 at 1:30 PM.", final
  price US $31.00 with 12 bids - every value copied from the page, none computed. Only ended auctions were
  measured; an ended fixed-price page may state less (fields the page does not state stay empty).
- When eBay finds no exact matches it fills the page with listings from a relaxed search (measured: "0
  results" + "97132 items found from eBay international sellers"); those are skipped, not returned.
- Shipping costs and the `LH_PrefLoc` location filter follow the visitor's country (from Bangladesh:
  "Free International Shipping", and `LH_PrefLoc=1` gave 0 results). Use the US proxy for US shipping.
- The "Sponsored" label is drawn as an image on every card and cannot be read reliably, so it is not output.
- ebay.co.uk and ebay.de were tested (search and item pages); other eBay country sites are refused.

#### Example input

```json
{"searchTerms": ["nintendo switch"], "buyingFormat": "auction", "sort": "endingSoonest", "condition": "used",
 "minPrice": 100, "maxPrice": 300, "includeDetails": true, "maxItems": 50}
```

# Actor input Schema

## `searchTerms` (type: `array`):

What you would type into the eBay search box, one term per line. Each term is searched on ebay.com among active listings. Example: iphone 13

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Paste eBay search result URLs, e.g. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?\_nkw=lego+star+wars\&LH_Auction=1 (every filter in the URL is kept), or item URLs, e.g. https://www.ebay.com/itm/267543612733 (an ended listing is returned too, with listingStatus ENDED and the price its page shows). Sites tested: ebay.com, ebay.co.uk, ebay.de. Sold / completed SEARCH URLs (LH_Sold=1, LH_Complete=1) need an eBay login since 2026 and are skipped with an error.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of listings to return in total. Result pages are read one after another until this number is reached or eBay has no next page. Example: 100

## `maxPagesPerSearch` (type: `integer`):

Safety limit on result pages read per search term or search URL. Example: 5

## `itemsPerPage` (type: `string`):

How many listings eBay puts on one result page (60, 120 or 240). Auto picks the smallest size that covers Max results, so small runs download less. A search URL that already sets \_ipg keeps its own value. Example: 240 for runs of 1,000+ listings.

## `buyingFormat` (type: `string`):

Only for search terms (a pasted search URL keeps its own filters). Buy It Now includes fixed-price listings that also accept Best Offer. Example: Auction.

## `condition` (type: `string`):

Only for search terms. New = eBay's "Brand New" condition, Used = "Pre-Owned" / used. Example: Used.

## `sort` (type: `string`):

Only for search terms. Price sorts include shipping, as on eBay. Example: Ending soonest.

## `minPrice` (type: `integer`):

Only for search terms. Lowest item price in the site's currency (USD on ebay.com); 0 = no minimum. Example: 100

## `maxPrice` (type: `integer`):

Only for search terms. Highest item price in the site's currency; 0 = no maximum. Example: 300

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Open every result's item page and add brand, model, MPN / GTIN, availability, quantity and sold count, all images, shipping options, return policy, payment methods, category path, listing start time, seller notes, item specifics and seller details. Costs one extra request per listing, so runs are slower. Example: on, to get item specifics for 50 listings.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

eBay is protected by Akamai Bot Manager. Residential proxy in the US is recommended and is the default; a blocked page is retried on a new proxy IP. Shipping costs follow the proxy country. Example: RESIDENTIAL group, country US.
