## Pricing

from $2.49 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Google Autocomplete Scraper - keyword suggestions from Google, YouTube and Shopping

The Google Autocomplete Scraper collects the suggestions Google shows while you type, for each of your
seed keywords. It expands every seed with A-Z letters, question words, prepositions or your own
modifiers, so one keyword becomes hundreds of real long-tail searches. Each suggestion comes with its
position and Google's relevance score. Choose Google web search, YouTube or Google Shopping, and any
language and country. No login, no API key.

#### Input

| Field | Type | Default | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| `keywords` | list of text | `running shoes` (prefill) | Seed keywords |
| `source` | select | `web` | web, youtube, shopping |
| `expandAlphabet` | boolean | true | keyword + a ... z |
| `expandQuestions` | boolean | false | how / what / why / ... + keyword |
| `expandPrepositions` | boolean | false | keyword + for / with / without / near / vs ... |
| `customModifiers` | list of text | - | Your own words; `{keyword}` places the seed |
| `language` / `country` | text | `en` / `us` | Suggestion language and country |
| `maxItems` | integer | 200 | Total suggestions |
| `maxSuggestionsPerKeyword` | integer | 0 (no limit) | Cap per seed |
| `proxyConfiguration` | proxy | Apify RESIDENTIAL (pinned to `country`) | Google localises suggestions by IP |

#### Output (one row per unique suggestion per seed)

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `keyword` | running shoes |
| `suggestion` | running shoes for women |
| `query`, `expansion` | the typed text that produced it (`running shoes`), seed / alphabet / question / preposition / custom |
| `position`, `relevance`, `type` | 1, 651, QUERY |
| `source`, `language`, `country`, `scrapedAt` | web, en, us, ISO time |

#### Measured (2026-10-03, local test runs)

- "running shoes": 200 suggestions from 14 requests in 16 s.
- "best laptop" with A-Z and questions: 500 unique suggestions from 38 requests in 43 s.
- YouTube, German: 60 suggestions for "minecraft" in 5 s.

#### Limits

- Google returns up to 15 suggestions per typed query; no search volumes (not public).
- Without a proxy in the target country, a few suggestions can be local to the caller's IP.

#### Example

```json
{"keywords": ["coffee maker", "espresso machine"], "expandQuestions": true, "country": "gb", "maxItems": 1000}
```

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

One per line, e.g. "running shoes". Each seed is expanded and every unique suggestion becomes a row.

## `source` (type: `string`):

Which Google search box to read.

## `expandAlphabet` (type: `boolean`):

Also ask for "<keyword> a" ... "<keyword> z" (26 extra requests per keyword).

## `expandQuestions` (type: `boolean`):

Also ask for how / what / why / when / where / who / which / can / does / is / are / will / should + keyword.

## `expandPrepositions` (type: `boolean`):

Also ask for keyword + for / with / without / near / vs / versus / to / like / and / or / is / can.

## `customModifiers` (type: `array`):

Extra words added after the keyword, e.g. "best", "cheap". Use {keyword} to place it, e.g. "best {keyword} for".

## `language` (type: `string`):

Suggestion language (hl), e.g. en, de, es.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Two-letter country (gl), e.g. us, gb, de. The residential proxy is pinned to this country because Google also localises suggestions by IP.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Total suggestion rows.

## `maxSuggestionsPerKeyword` (type: `integer`):

0 = no per-keyword limit.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Residential proxy is the default; its country is set from Country when you do not choose one.
