## Pricing

from $2.49 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Reed Jobs Scraper — reed.co.uk jobs with salary and full descriptions

The Reed Jobs Scraper searches reed.co.uk by keyword and location and returns one row per job: title, company, location, salary range, full-time / part-time flags, remote / hybrid / on-site, category, posting, update and expiry dates and, from each job page, the full description, employment type, salary currency and period and address.

It works logged out. Reed's official API needs a registered key, so it is not used.

#### Input

| Field | Type | Default | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| `keywords` | list | `python developer` (prefill) | One Reed search per line |
| `location` | text | `London` (prefill) | UK town, city or region; empty = whole UK |
| `startUrls` | URLs | – | Reed search URLs (`/jobs/...`); their filters are kept |
| `jobTypes` | multi-select | – | Contract, Temporary, Full-time, Part-time, Permanent |
| `datePosted` | select | `any` | Today, last 3 days, last week, last 2 weeks |
| `workingOption` | select | `any` | Remote, hybrid or on-site |
| `salaryFrom`, `salaryTo` | integer | `0` | Salary range filter (GBP) |
| `proximity` | integer | `0` | Radius in miles (0 = Reed's default, 10) |
| `scrapeDetails` | boolean | `true` | Open each job page (one extra request per job) |
| `maxItems` | integer | `50` | Stop after this many jobs |
| `proxyConfiguration` | proxy | Apify RESIDENTIAL | Proxy |

Every filter is checked against the filters Reed reports back on page 1, and the log says if Reed ignored one.

#### Output

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `jobId`, `jobUrl`, `title` | Job |
| `companyName`, `companyProfileUrl`, `logoUrl` | Advertiser (logo address read from the page) |
| `location`, `county`, `address` | `address` from the job page |
| `salaryFrom`, `salaryTo`, `salaryText`, `salaryCurrency`, `salaryPeriod` | e.g. "650 - 750 GBP per day"; currency and period come from the job page |
| `isFullTime`, `isPartTime`, `employmentType`, `workingOption` | e.g. `FULL_TIME, CONTRACTOR`; `remote` / `hybrid` / `onSite` |
| `category`, `subCategory` | Reed's job category |
| `postedAt`, `updatedAt`, `expiresAt` | Dates |
| `descriptionSnippet`, `descriptionText`, `descriptionHtml` | Snippet from search, full text from the job page |
| `easyApply`, `isPromoted`, `isFeatured` | Flags |
| `searchKeywords`, `searchLocation`, `searchUrl`, `scrapedAt` | The search that produced the row |

#### Measured (2026-10-03, one residential IP, no proxy)

| Test | Result |
|---|---|
| `python developer` / London, 30 and 50 with job pages | 30 rows in 52 s and 50 rows in 82 s; one job page per run answered HTTP 410 (job removed) and kept list fields |
| `accountant` / Manchester, 80, no job pages | 80 rows in 8 s from 4 pages |
| `data analyst`, UK, remote, last week, contract + permanent | 15 rows, 15/15 remote, all from the last week |
| Search URL nurse / Birmingham `parttime=True`, with job pages | 12 rows, 12/12 include PART_TIME |
| Wrong URLs, empty input | Clean stop with an error line |

#### Limits (measured)

- 25 jobs per page. Reed repeats some promoted jobs on later pages (7 repeats on page 3 of a 4-page test); rows are de-duplicated.
- `permanent=True` and `sortby` in URLs were ignored by Reed; the `perm=True` filter this Actor sends was applied. The run log reports any filter Reed did not apply.
- Without job pages there is no salary currency or period, employment type or full description.

#### Example input

```json
{"keywords": ["data analyst"], "location": "Manchester", "workingOption": "hybrid", "datePosted": "lastWeek", "maxItems": 100}
```
