## Pricing

from $2.49 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

Business names to look up, one per line, e.g. "Tesla", "Blue Bottle Coffee". With "Search by" = entity number, give registry numbers instead (CO 19871596762, NY 5954532, OR 49442890, CT 2787880, TX taxpayer number 32072955472, FL document number F09000002525).

## `companyName` (type: `string`):

Optional single company name, e.g. "Stripe" - added to the list above (same field name as other SOS Actors, for easy switching).

## `states` (type: `array`):

Registries to search. CO, NY, OR, CT and TX are the state's official business-entity file on its open-data portal (NY, OR and TX publish active entities only); FL is Sunbiz.

## `searchBy` (type: `string`):

Look up by business name, or by the registry's own entity number.

## `matchMode` (type: `string`):

How the name is matched (case-insensitive, run by the registry). Florida Sunbiz is an alphabetical index, so "contains" works as "starts with" there.

## `entityStatus` (type: `string`):

Keep entities with this normalised standing (output field standing). Registries that publish active entities only (NY, OR, TX) are skipped for delinquent / inactive.

## `filedFrom` (type: `string`):

Only entities formed / registered on or after this date (YYYY-MM-DD), e.g. 2024-01-01. Server-side on the portals; Florida needs the detail page for the date (fetched automatically).

## `filedTo` (type: `string`):

Only entities formed / registered on or before this date (YYYY-MM-DD).

## `fetchDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Florida: open each entity's Sunbiz detail page (one extra request): type, filing date, FEI/EIN, addresses, registered agent, officers, annual reports and filing documents. The portal states return full records without it.

## `includeOfficers` (type: `boolean`):

Officers, directors, principals and authorized representatives where the registry publishes them (FL officers, CT principals, OR authorized representatives, NY chairman/CEO).

## `maxResultsPerState` (type: `integer`):

Stop each name x state search after this many entities. Pages are followed (portals 50 per page, Sunbiz 20) until this number or the registry's last match.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop the whole run after this many entities.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

The registries answered logged-out requests without a challenge in tests; a US residential proxy is the default for steady runs on the Apify platform.
